Sorry, ahah. I've never tried it.

If I remember rightly, It doesn't look too difficult to do. I've got a couple of Nettars, one with a touch of fungus that I need to get around to cleaning.
Having said that, a little fungus doesn't seem to affect image quality too much

Yeah I'm gonna run a roll and see what happens, if it's bad I might try and sort it. Seems like 3 tiny grub screws, lift everything out and don't touch the shutter?!

Had one years ago, if you get it with the ttl prism and the 80mm is actually very good camera. Lenses are amazing for money; camera tends to have quirks with film spacing though
-

I have a Pentax 6x7, and the film spacing is very hit and miss, the pressure plate is on the correct film type and wind on is never excessively wound, think must be a problem with the gears?
Has anyone seen /heard of this or know of anyone I could get it looked at besides Sendean -

More or less for the front element, the rear element needs a c-spanner to twist the retaining ring off if I remember rightly.
The tricky part when removing the front element is replacing the focus ring/distance scale in the right place so it still focuses correctly. You more or less have to remember at what distance the focus ring is removed from the camera when you're unscrewing it, then make a note to re-attach at the same point
I think there's a youtube video somewhere that goes through it

immediately fucks it up

You can recablibrate it if you do get it wrong - http://elekm.net/zeiss-ikon/repair/collimate/

aperture or graham playford

Yeah @TooTallTim It should be recoverable.
I think you can also focus to infinity outside in daylight with a bit of tape or donor film in the gate, although the methods that @danb have linked to look far more accurate

I've not tried it yet, that was more testament to my DIY abilities! I have just messed around with putting my Bronica focusing screen on the film plane should I get that far

I missed this top photo when you originally posted it. Like it, very timeless.
That guy in front of that Brasserie could probably have been taken at any time in the last seventy odd years -

Cheers! Can remember a bit of a mad fumble trying to compose when I saw him.
I’ve been quietly stashing away Acros in both 35mm and 120 since Fuji announced they were discontinuing it. Always loved the look I get from it.

• #18116
Acros is something I've never tried. I'm tempted to get a few rolls to store away for the summer, but then I'd probably get disappointed that I like it and Fuji have killed it...

Sent a complaint to Cinestill about the film, got a vague reply about how even though the film was in date and had been stored in a fridge that degradation was to be expected. They're sending me a new roll anyway, which is nice and a lesson learned - but still a bit annoying that I shot a holiday roll on a duff film (that cost £12!).
I guess it's easy to forget that it should be considered an experimental film.

800 or 50? Ive got a roll of 800 on the go atm, really hope its not duff :(

re. my previous call for recommendations, I've narrowed it down to a Pentax ME super or an Olympus om10/20. Is there much between the 2, realistically? They both seem pretty ubiquitous and a search pulls up some nice shots from both on this thread :-)
I got on well with my k1000 before the light metre died, so leaning towards Pentax. -

Differences mainly in how you set shutter speed in manual mode.
OM10 - Doesn't have manual mode by default, need the manual adaptor doohickey
OM20 - Shutter speed set around the lens mount
ME Super - Shutter speed set by two buttons on the top plateOtherwise all broadly similar, aperture priority SLRs with a good range of lenses.
Minor difference with ISO -
All three cameras have a top ISO of 1600. If you want to use TMAX or Delta 3200 in aperture priority mode, you can get around this on the Olympus' by setting exp. comp. to -1. The ME Super won't let you do this. -

Cheers - i think that counts the OM10 out. I'll probably get a ME super body as i already have at least the 50mm pentax lens already and possibly a 28mm somewhere. Cant see 1600 max being in issue.

Quick test roll through this Nettar, Ektar 100, self scanned very quickly.
I think I was a bit optimistic trying to shoot handheld - should see a lot of improvement using a tripod, some faster film and/or stopping down considerably.Fungus isn't showing at all so I'm gonna leave the bastard alone.

I've also invested in a laser tape measure, because it's become plainly obvious I can't eyeball in feet.

Glad the fungus isn’t showing on the photos.
I normally put as fast a film as possible through mine, just to keep the lens stopped down so guessing distance isn’t a problem. Shot a lot of TMAX 400 pushed to 1600 through my Nettar last winter
don't know, they didn't throw back the film to me :/
