no, I just dont like making it.
and 75% of my decaf/soy customers are just showing off, or want to have coffee and get away without the consequences. waste of my time.
politically incorrect? yawn. -

I'm buying a probe (for cooking), and the same seller sells micro (drug) scales which i assume will be best for coffee.

just because you're on eurostar doesn't mean you can't have a decent cup of coffee…

I was delayed in my coffee buying at Monmouth this morning by someone who interviewed the server for m-i-n-u-t-e-s before ordering a single shot decaf latte.

politically incorrect? yawn.My mrs likes coffee but caffeine fucks up her heartbeat and wrecks her for the day. She also prefers Soy milk (I do think that's weird but it's hardly a drain considering the number of genuinely lactose intolerant people there are) but if she were to want to spend her money with an independent company rather than hand it over to Starbucks/Costa/Nero then it's more like showing off if you discriminate against her. "Oooh, we only do "proper" coffee here!!" It's not like asking for a skinny-caramel-mocha-chocca-gingerbead-frappi-machiato, it's still a fucking latte. Waste of your time? layabout.

@10000whatevers.
It's not a question of political correctness or "showing off" as you put it.
It's a matter of not being a dick.
Writing a tedious and lengthy note to potential customers stating that you: "...hold a Trans-Modern view of sincerity and in no way is this message espousing Post-Modern irony." And that if there were "...any points in our philosophy you did not agree with, we would rather not hear about them." paints a picture of 'them' being a massive bunch of massive cunts.
I wish I could give them the pleasure of knowing that I will do my best never to visit and make sure everyone I meet does the same.
But they would rather not hear about it.

I use the black* version of these. Easy to use and accurate. Got 'em for about 15 quid in John Lewis.*racist

Milk - it seems to have come to that time of year when milk does not froth as well. Is it a change in diet from grass to hay?
Should I go to full fat milk not semi skimmed?
-

dont get too sensitive there, i have described my customer base.
and, while the sound of the "note" may seem but rude or whatever, being a barista in a place like this is easier, period.
go out, ride a bike. -

Being in the trade I tend to stick to my mother's maxim "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all" with regard to independent coffee businesses but..........Cunts!
So please, I am appealing to you, if you are walking past The Hatch on Bermondsey St, please walk up and order a 12oz extra hot dry gingerbread machiato. Oh, and tell them to get a move on.
bad grammar.

I didn't go out to ride my bike as I was getting my beauty sleep in order to get up in time for the job I can be bothered to do and hence people appreciate.

I think the note is hilarious. I respect their stance but they know fuck all about marketing and I would question their business acumen.
This is how you deal with customer complaints to turn it into something positive. (NSFW for swearing)

Bang on, the cows are moving into their winter sheds and going on to silage. We've just started to get some inconsistency.
Full fat is always easier to foam, not sure if it makes a difference in respect of the seasonal change. FWIW, at our place all our milk comes from one herd so the difference is marked. Supermarket milk which mixes milk from hundreds of herds in vats, as opposed to corner-shop milk which often comes from a single dairy, is likely to remain more stable.

The milk from Tesco has dropped off in foaming ability in the last few weeks.
Will go to full fat.
Cheers
I am. Fucking blouses.
