I got a zassenhaus grinder off german eBay this morning for $0.99 (£17.50 with deliver). It's this one here:

Anyone know if this model is any good? The talk on the coffee forums is that the new ones aren't manufactured that well but this definitely looks quite old. I guess I'll have to see what it's like when it arrives. Looking forward to it (I've been off home espresso since I grew tired of pre-ground beans last year).

Looks a treat that, good outside condition is always a good start. Check for rust on burrs and play in the mechanism when it arrives; wobble = no espresso but it can probably be sorted.
Another grinder on TMC
Having a massive clearout of stuff since we moved back home...soooo...
1x Macap m4 doser grinder... not too much use .. needs a bit of a clean (will provide some Grindz to put through it at least)... but in general good condition and this is a bargain for someone...
Looking for a mere £30 for it but on the condition that its collect only...
Grinder is located on east side of Nottingham.Cheers
Jamie£30 is a bargain, likely to need new burrs, probs another £30.

Is that the one that ended at about 3am? I bloody stayed up for that and fell asleep about half an hour before it ended, missed the two slimmer ones too that went for less than £20 too. Not fun.

also curious if that model's any good. been keeping an eye on ebay.de and want a knee one, the narrower model, but they seem to go for plenty more so if these ones are just as good I'll prob grab one of them

Also keep your eyes peeled for Peter Deines (PeDe), Trosser and Peugeot Freres hand grinders. If it's properly old and built in western Europe then chances are it's the real deal. No real difference between square and knee shaped Zasses AFAIK, you still hold the square ones between your knees without a problem.

bombcup: I made this morning's bombon with the milk in the bottom already and poured the shot into it. Works better this way, rather than pouring milk through the shot. I made a wicked one and then spilled it trying to take a photo. doh :P

Me too, before I left this morning.
It looked lovely and with a bit less condensed milk tasted better too.

kopi luwak, you can get it lots of places in London but at a horrible premium.
It's about 25-30 quid for a 50g bag either ground or in beans.
It's interesting and as an odd 'treat' I felt I wanted to try it - but I wouldn't make it my daily choice, cost or not.

This is great, the bombon revolution starts here. Guilty pleasure coffee FTW.
The prices for Kopi Luwak are really quite silly, it's not actually very good quality, not close to the stuff sourced by quality orientated roasters here.

I'm going to Flat white now and will ask for a Bombom...
