  • @mands Times of events on the forum are a pain, sorry, it's from 12pm until 5pm and there will be a feeder ride, further details to follow asap!

  • phew...
I've just caught up on the fb event, John is feeder-ing - phew!

  • Haha, DON'T PANIC!

  • GETTING THERE (Group ride and travel info)

I will be leading a group ride out to the venue for spectators or racers without their own arrangements.

Ride will be at a social pace and route will be posted here soon.

Closest Train is Goodmayes, a few stops out of Liverpool Street Station:

    • then north on Goodmayes Rd/Barley Lane B177
    • continue north after A12 on Hainault Rd - right on Forest Rd
      (5KMs)

Closest Tube is Fairlop on the Central Line towards Hainault, 30 minutes from Bank Underground Station (non-folding bicycles prohibited on this service):

    • then 3KM north-east on Forest Rd

If driving it would be easiest to use the A12:

    • then north at Hainault Rd
    • right on Forest Rd
      Those coming from further out:

      M11 junction 5

  • Id help out, too. (would also take pictures)

  • Awesome! Thanks.

Can I add you to the list? (I'm going to anyway). If I put you on a good corner with your camera that's two birds with one stone right? ;)

  • sure. perfect

  • To keep the weekend fully THUNDEROUS there will be a Circle Line Ride on Saturday May 14. A 24KM blast around central London passing every station on the Circle Line.

It will start an hour earlier to ensure everyone gets a good nights rest before the main event.

    More info soon.

  • We've sold out of all the men's race tickets! I'm super stoked about this.

There may be possible entry on line tickets available if some riders are unable to make it on the day.

We still need more volunteers though (there's no such thing as too much help here). If you're planning on coming to spectate on the day and feel like you're able to spend a bit of time holding a flag at a corner or asking riders to get down to the start line for their race then message me or email rob@nltcbmbc.com

  • Rob, I'll wave a flag and shout at people to get to the start line if you still need.

  • You were born to play the part. :)

If you can get to Redbridge for 11.30 next Sunday for briefing that would be awesome.

  • Ok

  • I'm sure there is a PM forthcoming but just interested to know from what time you'd like volunteers to be at Redbridge #dadlife

  • 11:30 for induction.
    :)

  • Cheers, apolz if I missed it earlier

  • What time do we need to be at Redbridge on the day if we're racing?

  • There will be another email going out to all racers soon with the days race programme. I just need to work it all out first!

Women's qualifying races will be first up (probably starting around 12.30) and timings will be strict due to the venue restrictions on our time there.

  • THUNDERCRIT IS IN TOWN!

To keep the weekend fully THUNDEROUS we will be running the 9th episode of the Circle Line Ride on Saturday the 14th.

Short fun social blast around central London passing every stop on the Circle Line - 24.5KM

Ride goes in a loop from Parliament Square in Westminster.

To keep peeps fresh for THUNDERCRIT we will be starting an hour early (and laying off the bevies).

Meet up at 20:30 Parliament Square for a start on the B of the last Ben Bong at 21:00

  • Just spotted this, glad I did! Will be down taking photos, don't forget to do your hair and make up...

  • @roboto Will the new jerseys arrive on time for the event?

  • I'm hoping so but I've been given an estimated date of 25th May for completion, so probably not.

  • Alley kats with rules??
    WTF happened here?

I go out of the country for ten years and this? I lol'ed when read the bit about telling me what tires to ride and how to set up my lights (that I don't have) :D
Will the HSE be sending an official rep?

You guys need to get out and play in the traffic more.

  • You're funny and I've replied to your email that you also sent me.

    This isn't an alleycat...

    Thanks.

  • Thanks :0)
How about we converse on the board for the benefit of da general public? I can't be the only grumpy lone rider out there..

    DrTronic
ps - Yes that's my real self-given riding name / call sign.
