Last lick of yellow applied. I'm considering masking and going straight for the blue, but I see some people use a bit of water and a fine wet&dry on the paint before more layers or the clear finishing coat.
The surface is quite bumpy with this dry paint (and my lack of skills).
Should I sand it a bit?

One hour and counting until I mask up and do the blue. Not sure I have the patience to sand it unless someone says it's a game changer.

I think the clear coat will smooth things out?

I'm trying out a bit of a trick here with the 1, yes 1, main Spoon sticker. But I won't reveal it until it's a success and not the total fail I'm fearing will happen. If other stickers don't work then so be it.

1st blue. I'm happy with the colours atm. Thought the yellow was going to be too dark, it wasn't. Thought the blue might be dull, not bright enough, it's actually bright enough.

Obviously coming out a bit blotchy, don't really care. This bike will get ridden hard(ish) and I expect chips almost straight away.

Still haven't done anything with the fork.
Guess I'll sand and paint that tomorrow, it's almost time for my evening snack. Don't think I'll have the energy after that.

Im hoping to have the painting completed by tomorrow. The next hurdle is measuring for spoke length. And choosing what kinda spokes to go for.

Alllrighty then, I'm going in for the last blue now. Clear coat later and then, work out where spokes are coming from, and should I just go for black spokes?

Keep forgetting this.
2 layers done. I'll do a third after I put the last blue layer on the frame. Maybe it's me bit to the blue seems a touch thinner than the yellow 🤔

So I made mistakes and learned a bit while applying the top coat. It'll be fine, just a bit uneven. Might go for another coat tomorrow before thinking about frame prep.

Going slow but once I've sorted spokes, seatpost, seat clamp and brakes. I think I have a complete bike 🤔

This really makes me want to paint more bikes. Something like a cargo with a big box
