  • Just searched Twitter to check if there'll be queues today and there are people celebrating seeing them (for booked appointments). Yes, let's put off everyone who doesn't have time and/or patience to stand in the cold.

  • It does seem a bit poorly managed to not have different queues for appointments and walk-ins.

  • Today they have separate queues. Was a very straightforward 18 minutes from my appointment time to actually being jabbed. The walk in queue wasn't moving and they were telling people three hours.

    (Bidborough House, Euston)

  • I had mine yesterday in Bidborough House and they had two queues. 1 hour delay for appointments and 4 hour wait for walk ins...it's just the volume of people they're having to deal with. I'd had my original vaccination appointments up at the business design centre in Angel and it was the same team from there now working in Bidborough house, which is obviously a massive step down in capacity.

  • Anyone seen any west london booster walk-in spots? I was going to wait but if I'm doing xmas with possible anti-vaxxer contact I want booster asap.

  • Brent Civic Center next to Wembley Stadium

  • Ta

Looks like the place I got my walkin 2nd dose is doing a BOOSTER BONANZA! this Sat.

  • Got Moderna booster yesterday after two symptomless Pfizer, feeling fatigue, sore muscles and hot and cold today, hopefully won't last long

  • I'm part of the same trial and just had my blood test today. They said Valneva are about a month away from offering booster jabs but I'm welcome to grab a Pfizer booster today from downstairs (in the Royal Free). Royal Free are doing walk-ins and there was no queue today at 10am if it helps.
The vaccine passport should be fine once Valneva has been approved in the UK which they think will happen in April. If you cant wait until then they can unblind you and from then you can either:

    • get 1 booster if youve had AZ and be fine for travel / passport
    • get a 1st and 2nd AZ/Pfizer/Moderna jab 8 weeks apart

So TLDR; if you want/need a jab and youre in London, go to the Royal Free and they'll sort you out.

  • The vaccine passport should be fine once Valneva has been approved in the UK which they think will happen in April.

What if you were in the control group and got the placebo?

    Edit. Ignore. Comprehension/reading failure.

  • “The vaccine passport should be fine once Valneva has been approved in the UK which they think will happen in April. “

will it though? reading between the lines it gave zero increase in antibodies as a booster to Pfz in the covboost trial.
that said an inactivated virus vaccine supposedly fares well against omicrom
    (i have zero immunology knowledge)

  • (i have zero immunology knowledge)

While this kind of disclaimer is appreciated, it ceased to have any real meaning back in 2016 or so. You’re likely as qualified as the PM was 18 months ago in matters of immunology.

  • You have just given me, in one forum post, more information than I've been able to glean from my trial team and even the clinical director of the research facility here.

Sadly, I'm in Glasgow not London so the walk in at the Royal Free isn't an option!

Also, I do understand that your timeline might not be mine but its still absurd how little information I'm getting from them.

It seems I'm now on my way to getting unblinded and either a booster or a 1st/2nd dose.

A month seems like a long time to wait for a booster given that both the PM and our FM are urging everyone to get as vaccinated as they can asap.

  • Winston Churchill Hall at top of Ruislip High Street.

mespilus jr. had a booked appointment for this afternoon.
He reported a 20 minute queue,
with walk ins queuing for around 30 mins.

  • CP House in Ealing might be another. Depends if they're doing walkins tomorrow morning. I've got today off so I'm going for a ride so don't want jabbage today. I guess I could try tonight if they're still open?

  • Holloway Road (Resource Centre) walk-in queue is already 500m long

  • If anyone comes across a walk-in centre in shoreditch with queues <50 mins please let me know! Booked a jab but still another week, and people around me are dropping like Yeezys latest album (hard).

  • The chemist beside the GP practise on Lee High Road in Lewisham was still open for walk ins at 7pm tonight with about 20 people in the queue

  • If anyone is in Tottenham, this place is doing a 24 hour "vaccine-a-thon". I imagine the queue will be minimal if you rock up at 3am

  • Got an email through with my unblinding letter telling me I had Valneva and another letter I can take to to a vaccination centre to get two doses of Pfizer. Dunno why they have specified its to be Pfizer.

Guess tomorrow I need to find a vaccination centre that's doing Pfizer.

  • thanks for offering your arm*, hope you don’t literally take one for the team though!
i would keep contacts low (if you can) for a couple of weeks after you get jabbed again.

    • and Grimm

Are you saying that my protection will drop for a bit? Is this true for 2nd/3rd doses and boosters as well?

Limiting my contact with people is how I tend to live my life anyway so hopefully be ok!

  • Walked up to CP House at ~4:30pm and they were only doing bookings so went to pub for 30min, came back and then walked straight in, filled out the forms, waited 5min and got a Pfizer stabbin'

  • not drop but you don’t walk out like superman, takes a week to get going and 2 weeks to get the full boost antibodies.

  • Tip on booking booster for Scotland, if your HB centres are all full, you can look at the availability with neighbouring HBs on the website.
