  • Nhs site is letting under 40s book. It still says it's not ready but when you click through it let's you choose an appointment date. Booked me and my wife for tomorrow.

  • had my booster yesterday (GP text me), im 30.

feel about the same as both other jabs, tired, achey arm, sweated through the night but fine.

  • I couldn't book as an over 40 the other week. I'll wait since I'm already pretty isolated full time and there's other people could do with it sooner.

  • Looked on Saturday, suddenly eligible. Booked for this morning, now triple Pfizered up.

  • There's plenty of the vaccine available and they'll throw it into the arms of anyone who's eligible - you're not risking taking it from somebody in greater need.

Anecdotage - boosted on Friday (Pfizer) as a walk-in, no queues, no side-effects other than a slightly sore arm on Saturday.

  • There were 900 people in the online queue and this morning it just said busy so I've left it again.

  • Currently on the website trying to move my booster. 15k people in the queue now, and when you get to the front it just falls over. I wouldn't bother being on here if it wasn't for the fact I am trying to give a lot back...

  • Yeah, this is why I jumped out. I'm in no rush so I'll leave it settle down before I bother again.

  • Boostered this morning (AZ, AZ and now P). Sign up at the vaccination clinic at QMH in Roehampton (SW15) saying no walk-ins before 11am please.

£20 Saino's gift card was gratefully received by the jabbers.

  • I can book mine having had covid a month or so ago. I was hoping it asks me if I have had covid XXX days ago or something and then say 'you cant book booster yet'.

    Should I book?

  • Boosted Saturday morning, Moderna. Felt ropey shortly after, have been in bed with on/off fever, some headache and general aches since. Think it collided with a general chest bug I picked up last week. Bored of this now.

  • One of the screening questions this morning (Croydon University Hospital) was "have you had a Covid infection in the last 28 days?" I don't know what happens if you says yes.

  • Any late register-ers on here?

I’ve gotten to worrying about my level of protection dropping off as it’s been a while since my second dose but because I did the valneva trial, I’m not eligible/in the system for a booster.

I had a routine appointment for blood at the start of the month as part of the trial and at that point they said basically “There’s a plan to offer you a booster but we don’t know what it is or when it’ll be.” and I could tell they didn’t think it’d be any time soon.

I also can’t get a vaccine passport which is looking like it might become an issue, especially if I want to travel abroad next year so I told them that I wanted out and to get a deployed/registered vaccine but they don’t seem to be in a hurry to get cracking on it so I’ve just registered as if I’ve never had any vaccine.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of how quickly I’ll get an appointment or the option to book one through?

  • Think after 28 days it's considered ok (or maybe 28 days since symptoms)

  • so they have record of this right? because it didnt ask me the questions.

  • No idea. I'd assume they rely on you to wait but maybe it really is that joined up.

If you have a COVID-19 positive result, when can you have a booster?
You will still need the booster but you should wait at least 4 weeks from your COVID-19 infection.

  • I was given a sheet of questions to read in the queue for the nurse screening when I went for my booster earlier today, one of the questions was about whether I'd tested positive within the last 28 days (the others were about symptoms, pregnancy, allergies, anyone in household isolating, or whether I had any other questions about the vaccine or process). The nurse doing the screening asked whether I needed to answer yes to any of the questions on the sheet.

  • Vantage pharmacy is doing walk-ins - pretty speedy if you go at quiet times (eg 11.30 weekday morning)

  • Do they look up your medical records or just jab you?

  • If you give NHS number they will look up your Covid related vaccine record (maybe also positive test? Not sure) but not your whole record.
But some walk-ins also say explicitly you don't need your NHS number.

You do not need proof of address, immigration status, ID or an NHS number. Booster jabs available if eligible.

  • I ended up speaking to someone at the national vaccination helpline today who wouldn't book me in for anything as my vaccination status is showing 'outwith service' or something because it's the trial team that have been dealing with it.

He reckoned they were being pretty shady and actually denying me access to the vaccine by taking their time to unblind me so I've sent a strongly worded email today but if that doesn't work I may start looking for places that'll do walk in sans NHS no.

  • Had the moderna booster at 11am yesterday, had Pfizer for my other two. So far no side effects apart from a bit of a sore arm, which was the same as the others.

  • Had Pfizer booster on Saturday. No side effects until yesterday lunchtime and have felt really fatigued since - unable to concentrate or do anything so taken yesterday afternoon and this morning to rest up.
