Missus also said that cooking the PB, etc mix was probably pointless as we don't have PB with all that binder agent shit in it (I'm looking at you, palm oil!) so if she does another batch it'll just be mixed cold.

cheese and PB panini (with added veg bits n bobs) are also excellent, especially scraping the ooze off the panini press and eating that once it's solidified

Quite good. Reckon a dark chocolate hobnob would be the one though.

Warburtons as well.
PB is so good on crumpets though, and Warburtons are just better than own-brand.

I'm really not sure about the thought of cheese and peanut butter. There are so many things that do go well with cheese and so little time already, and I prefer to think of peanut butter as a sweet rather than savoury thing.

Apologies if I've overlooked anyone but I've yet to see mentioned Utta Nutta. I was first introduced by my (ex)gf's dad who for some reason was trying to impress me one breakfast... Anyway, regardless of how that relationship went, old Bill had good taste and a pot of the below now features in my arsenal, deployed only in the presence of the most esteemed guests cos it's a bit posh. Otherwise it's Meridian crunchy laced with your favourite yeast extract pressed into a piping pitta for the daily pick-me-up.

Well they did recently publish their crumpet recipe, so that could be worth a go.

Yeah, I liked Soreen for audax snacks. Oh well. Adapt, move on.

MK3 looking a bit more like the real deal. I think I've got the roast about right now, possibly a bit too dark. I think the longer roast helps break down the oils as I didn't have to add any this time.

After all the medical testing expertise we've all developped from the C-19 threads;
Why not 'double blind'?

No placebo?
You mean we should have left out the marmite?

I thought you were a proponent of Vit D rather than Vit B12?

Does it matter whether the butter goes on first 🤣

I honestly don’t get the need for butter with PB - surely if you need more calories than double up on PB?
-

Like a lot of things, there is no "need" but it can be a nice change of taste.
Not for me personally but I won't send back a buttered peanut butter bagel, baby!

fuck sake
I was tipped off some time ago about PB, cheese and cucumber on wholemeal, and it's been my favourite (veggie) sandwich combo ever since. Winner!
@hippy - Good stuff. Think I'll make a batch for my own birthday picnic next week.
