As soon as I get out for the first time I’ll probably start going everyday.
-
• #303
Ok, so I just jumped to W2D3 and I can almost do that so maybe I'll carry on from here.
-
• #304
Ah sorry, I forgot that you weren't allowed outside yet.

I am now haha, lack of motivation started when we were isolating and hasn’t come back yet. Me and 3 friends (including my twin) are running a half on 6th June starting at each of our houses and running the same course around Manchester so need to get my arse in gear soon.

Another 100 burpees in the bank, this time with unusual cardiac readings, just to spice things up.

Day 2 of 100Pushups over here.
How you getting on? Week 4 for me coming up. It's getting easier. My week 3 day 3 reps were
11 13 9 9 13
Considering when I started I could barely manage 5 I'm pretty chuffed. Not bad for a totally unfit 50 year old

Ive just had 2 days off, back on them today + 100 push ups and 5km jog.
-
• #309
A friend did 1000 burpees for time yesterday, 1h17m! Madman.
-
• #310
That’s absolutely insane!

100Pushups
Initial test I managed a whopping 7. Just did another test at end of week 2 and did 22 (annoyingly my daughter did 40 but she weighs next to nothing.)
So week 3 col 2 for me (and week 3 col 3 for her, ha).

That is outrageous.
I was thinking I might do 500 for time at the end of this month to catch up, as I started late this month. If I can do under 1h, I'll be thrilled (if I can complete at all) -

I skipped Mon and Wed of week 2 and then just did the Fri session. So 16, 17, 14, 14, 21
But by the time I got to the last one I had to break it up in between so that's probably a fail.
Skipping sessions and playing catchup not great idea. Missus is literally doing her W2D2 now trying to catchup. She couldn't do 2 pushups now she's doing 8.My turbo volume (and beer drinking) went up so I've been a bit meh about the pushups but if the missus can catch back up I'll kick it off again properly. Maybe I could backfill W2 D1 and D2? Not the same effect but it'd sync us up again.

I managed 9 7 7 6 10 push ups yesterday whilst most of a bottle of wine down. Found the first nine surprisingly easy, before starting I could just about manage 10 but it was a real struggle.

I think I did the initial test around 14. I used to bang out quite a lot more when I was doing regular gym so it's definitely something that is pretty easily trained and detrained. Strength stuff like this is more obvious to me than losing bike fitness.

Our weeks tend to be 8 or 9 days, stuff just gets in the way or we forget. Not that worried about it. The key is having at least one rest day between days and not trying to cram the week into 6 days.

No post for two days? Hope it just means it was everyone’s rest day yesterday. I find it motivating to read that others are pushing themselves At the moment. Seems so easy to just give into the lockdown laziness

I did a Zwift workout logging a pitiful 25k for the day for TGBR and restarted 100pushups with the missus at W2D1.

Can anyone recommend a beginner turbo session on youtube please? I cant use it in my flat, too noisy and the downstairs neighbour complains, so lent it to my sister about 2 weeks before lockdown. She's got it out and is struggling to know what to do.

Have been continuing with the burpees, now at the point where it feels a little wrong if I don’t do them. Helps doing them just before lunch or dinner, and use food/beer/wine as reward.
Increasing time on the bike too, no time for slow easy rides, turbo sessions and 1 to 1.5h smashes outside.

The British Cycling warm up is good to do as a session in itself if you are starting out:

Some of the other sessions are good. I like the 3 min sweetspot session as well:

whoops, double post

Thanks I'll send the links through to her.
I think she wants a you tube to follow along with as a motivational aid as well. Although some nice scenery and that sweet spot session would be a pretty good session.

Have started the 100 push ups thing yesterday, ouch.

Finally got up to 500 swings at 20kg kettlebell to start off my workout. Turns out at this amount of swings that blisters are a thing.

Cooler day today, might be good for a run?
200 burpees, bike sprint session, and hayfever have slayed me.
Hope motivation improves during the day
