  • Back on the burpees again today, they really are horrific/ great!

  • Never look at it before but I would take that too. I can really recommend the athleanx videos on YouTube. I like the 5 and 10 minute ab and chest workouts, really I intense.

    If you can look past the whole American bro appeal of the channel, he is a solid source of information.

    I’m also another 100 down, feeling more comfortable, but now aching more in my calf muscles.

  • I broke through 1000 today, 1020 so far.

  • Still going strong, 100 burpees, 100 squats, 100 press ups done today. Still got 100 sit ups and 500s of planks left.

    Had another KB workout last night with 300 swing at the beginning. Wasn't quite ready to up it to 400.
    It seems fine at the time but it really kicks my arse during the rest of the workout. I guess when I'm up to 500 swings I shouldn't be following it with 40 mins of other stuff.
    Did a nasty Zwift workout this morning, pretty tired now.

  • This is for the curtain twitchers - is it acceptable exercise to solo shoot some hoops? Frisbee between flatmates/partners? Tossing a rugby ball/North American football?

  • Well done, didn't know you were doing 100 squats/pressups and situps on top of the burpees.

    (just do 200 burpees.... lolol)

  • That was just yesterday as my mate challenged me to it, back to just burpees today. Still haven’t got around to going for a run... tomorrow. I’ve set myself a challenge of running a half marathon on 6th June so I actually motivate myself to train.

  • I'm only on the second week of pushups and stalled out. Can't be arsed.
    Now trying to add stupid Zwift miles to my already touch and go TR workouts is not helping.

  • How many pushups were you doing? Use them to break up to stupid zwift miles...

    My body is not happy.

    I was going to say that's probably not a good idea as you could weaken your immune system etc.

    Then I remembered you've already had it!

    I have also been doing more exercise recently than for quite a while (TrainerRoad) and I've lost 1.3kg so far. I'm pretty skinny normally but had got very unfit for me and put on about an extra 3 or 4kg.

    Then crazy 4 year old daughter of mine insisted that she would do the same as me, but only if I joined in.

    Thought she would get bored after first 20.
    Ended up doing another full 100.

    Recovery snack consisted of a shared Kinder surprise bunny, which was welcomed.

    My 10yo daughter joined me doing the 100 pushup challenge. I thought she'd get bored early too, 2 weeks in she's still going strong.

    Yesterday she did 16,17,14,14,20 with a 120s break between sets. That's 81 in total. (Approximately 5 of which were proper form though.)

    She then did 3 sets of mini leg blasters too. Foolish girl. Chocolate milk is the recovery snack of choice in this household.

  • Im still on the burpees, missed 2 days so far this month so will break through 1500 today. Did some chest and shoulders as well yesterday. Still need to get out for that run, why is it always the first that’s the hardest to do!

  • ...probably because I know it will be horrible.

  • Funny how it is different for people as I'd consider doing 100 burpees regularly horrible but am quite happy heading out for a run. 2 a week atm but would happily push that up to 3 if I could find the time.
