I usually vote green in my lab safe seat but going lab this time. Excited to throw my miniscule weight behind a viable alternative for the country.

First time I was allowed to vote was 2010 and politics has felt like a nonstop blast in the face with a fire hose of political sewage ever since. I still maintain a tiny little glimmer of optimism but very much expecting it to go the wrong way yet again. Expect a lot of people in my generation feel the same way.

Absolute best we can hope for is hung parliament. Will no doubt be a small Tory majority. Echo chamber of Twatter et al never stacks up IRL

'Small Tory majority'?
Tory Prime Ministers from John Major onward have such a strong track record of legislative achievements with small majorities.
Will there be any 'One Nation' Tory MPs in the 2020 Parliament,
or,
have they all been removed by either having the Whip removed, ousted by brexit entryists at local party level, or just retired? -

Christ it's not even 8pm and I'm already so anxious about the count that my tongue has gone numb

Intel I am getting is that people in high places are bricking it and think tories have fucked it. Going for dinner with a Labour mate now - will share what he is hearing.

That's what they said in 2016.
Not sure why I'm being Debbie Downer. Managing my own expectations, I suppose.

While possible, it's very, very improbable.

Labour majority, Corbyn saves the entire world by 2025.

I'm sure I remember hearing rumours that Leave thought they'd done very well in 2016

If Johnson loses his seat I know he can continue as PM, but presumably that means he can't vote on any legislation?
-
• #2166
Sounds like his dream ticket
-
• #2167
There's no way he could lose his seat and carry on as leader. It'll be a GE again before May.

This was mentioned previously, the plan would be to send some old codger in a safe seat up to the lords and take their seat.

Hoping to add to the (guarded) optimism,
a Tory activist told me on the 4th December that
IDS was 'terrified'. -

IDS was 'terrified'
We can hope.

The Tories feared two things, turnout and tactical voting. Don't want to get hopes up, but turnout seems high and according to that tweet above, over 300,000 people have used one tactical voting app today alone.

Farage conceded earlier in the day that he thought remain edged it.

Anyone in Scotland able to confirm/deny the possibility of the Tories losing the +/- 10 seats previously suggested in the post-Davidson era?
-
• #2174
300,000. That’s nothing.

Odds on Johnson winning his seat 2/9, losing 14/5. Losing is shortening (= people think it's becoming more likely)
