  • I feel so emotionally worn out from all this.

  • Still think we'll be waking up to what I most fear - anything hopeful today is just going to make it worse.

  • Dread is there.

Wife in the nhs and I work for a shop that exports parts all over...

Ciders will be drunk and this forgotten for a minute

  • A woman has just turned up outside my window in the wet and dark - little face peering out of a sodden 'fur' edged puffa coat hood.
" Is this the polling station ? "

  • Ask her who she's voting for first

  • His royal lowness harry and Meghan wotsits are probably responsible for that. Patronising so and so’s

  • Off to the pub for mind bleach later, although I want to be home sobbing into a can of continental cooking lager (it may the last I can get) at 10pm when the exit polls are announced.

Optimistic for my local constituency, less so for the country as a whole.

  • low level dread kicking in

    oh, god, don't, don't

your optimistic posts in this thread have been the only thing keeping me going for weeks

  • In a queue right now, just out the door, only ever seen one or two people here before.

  • Slightly hopeful, which may be a bad idea.

Even the thought of Tory majority is just too depressing to deal with atm...

It is heartening though to see a lot of people making the effort, voting, tactical voting...

  • It's the tories I vote for yeah?

The current advice is to vote for the Torys and the brexit party, you know just to make sure!

  • Same as last time. The torries will win. There's too many stupid people.

  • No Monster Raving Loonies?

  • Asked if it was a high turnout, was given a very enthusiastic "yeah, and it just keeps getting better". Very Manc scally lad in front of me, looked about v30 but pretty obviously hadn't voted before as was worried about forgetting his poll card and marked his vote then came out to ask why it had Gorton on it and not Levy, good lad had voted Labour though.

  • That smacks of some dodgy money.

It's depressing that there is so much illegal activity going on around this election.

  • My polling station in East Ham was fairly quiet.

I think Stephen Timms' 84% vote share means he's probably safe though. He was still handing out leaflets at the station this morning though. He's a good egg and I gave him my vote.

  • It's absolutely vile here, I wonder what effect that will have on turnout

  • Been knocking on doors in the rain. Lots of volunteers. Good vibes from people answering. Off to get changed and vote myself. I'm not overrun with dread. But none of us know anything.

  • ^ the hero we need.

    drinks on me l8rz.

  • Was torn between Vicky Foxcroft (Labour) and voting Green to help return of deposit.
Despite a big majority I got the fear and voted for Foxcroft.

  • I'm not overrun with dead.

Thank God for that, I really hope it doesn't turn into a zombie night.

  • i know it's on twitter and it's chock full of cunts and it should be burned to the ground forever but here you go.

  • I'd rather guide my father into my mother than be on the same side as people like this.
