I always attribute Chivas to golf clubs.
The only scotch my dad and his golfing buddies used to drink…

Now I am going to call you out on that as chivas is a blended whiskey, golf bat people are all about the single malts. But that is my opinion.

My uncle, whom I was name after, liked chivas regal. He never went near a golf club. Still like chivas and I'm not sure it is the taste or the memory of drinking with my dad and his younger brother.

Maybe it’s an Asian golf club thing, fancy label, easy to drink, and more expensive that it probably should be.

The idea of a blended whisky that is aged does seem strange to me. But then I like canadian club too.

I've only ever drank it as a gift where I've feigned greater appreciation than it deserves.
