No issues here with latest stable build (not canary) on mac. All maps working.

The first time in history having a Mac is an advantage? :P

I went up there. Just leads to a locked gate.

The two squares south of the M4 should be doable with some bushwhacking from that lane.
You were on the money. When I got there I realised where it was and I hadn't 'pushed into the bush' at all, I'd just ridden the path. I got them today though.
Totally soaked and covered in mud going for that other bastard on the right next to the canal. The only way to get that will be to climb the fence it seems (or I could just ask someone to let me into the allotment). I've got stinging nettle legs again...
The golf course looks more private than other ones in the area - big fence all around it and even the carpark is gated.

The other option might be the playing fields East of the railway. You might be able to clip the Eastern side of the tile from the playing fields North of the M4, or the Southern edge of the tile from the playing fields South of the M4.
No idea of the access to those playing fields though. Doesn't look too welcoming: https://maps.app.goo.gl/1qJdkpRXwhsYcTH29 or the other entrance: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XhVPfpp2NoTtWu5y8

But good work, those are two tiles that Jonathan France hasn't bothered to get.
(He hasn't got the one SE of Boston Manor either.)

I've got a few he hasn't got. But that's because I'm local and have had a few goes at stuff. He's obviously got a shitload more elsewhere. But I only just started so we'll see.
That playing field was locked. I presume it's used by a school or something. Their website (https://www.lpff.org.uk/locations/boston-manor-playing-field/) says they have adult football pitches and "A grass athletics track (for school use during summer term)"

Just ride down the M4 for a junction at 4 am. Go west to east and if the old bill stop you, tell them you just got off the plane from Australia.

Put bike on roof rack.
Put hippy on bike.
Drive down M4.Sorted.

Considered that. I did that on the M2 in 2005. Felt safer than my commute in Melbourne.
I think I'd make the news if I did it these days. Or at least break local twitter for 15mins.

Nah, the point of this silly activity is to check out new places. It's good to build up the knowledge so other people can do it better. Like updating OSM maps feels good - contributing to the global knowledge store makes everyone's lives better, if only slightly.

I legit thought about getting a job doing Highway Maintenance so I could wander about motorways putting cones down. Also, wondered about the legitimacy of doing turbo in a van that drove along the "untouchable" highways :D
Yes, this is my new current obsession.

And indeed the RWGPS update broke both squadrats (Chrome) and statshunters (FF) extensions.

Yeah, knew they'd changed something. The Street View behaviour change, etc.
Either they reverted it or fixed it because it started working again for me last night.Canary webGL is still borked. New version going on now.
Version 121.0.6104.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit) still no webGL for me.
I might have to stick in a video card or something. Actually, shit, let me try the laptop...

Ah fuck, why did they change that streetview behaviour. That's what I was using the most :(
Anyone knows if it has to do with changes in the licensing from Googles side? Because I can't see RWGPS considering this an improvement.

Yeah, it's fucked. I assume it's Google getting pissy about people launching 'their' feature while not using their maps.
-
• #719
It's still a bit flakey but it's definitely working again in Canary.

I'm all for open source stuff when companies ruin their product for people just for money.
It's why I like contributing to OSM where I can. It helps everybody.

Careless planning means my afternoon run didn't cover one of the tiles I'd was targeting (it got the other 3 though), leaving a single hole in the middle of nowhere (it's a 4k run from home and back to go get this tile, but it's not a bad run so I'll try and do that this weekend).
A few lunchtime rides planned for next week to knock off some more local tiles and bring up the yard and square). Yardinho is just 198 and square 10x10 but these should shoot up pretty quickly now that I'm actively trying. With about 20 tiles I can add a couple of hundred to the yard as it connects to my set of tiles near my old work.

"Street View was recently removed from all the non-Google Map Styles in our system due to Google's terms of service. In order to comply with Google we can no longer show the option to use Street View on other map types."

Bah. Just not quite enough, but I'd planned on getting it from a different side on another ride so all is not lost. Would have hung around at the roundabout for some GPS jitter but the security guard was getting twitchy enough with me not even stopping.
Also failed to get a different one by a couple of yards again, not paying attention, but can get that one in a run eventually.
First lunchtime ride and I bumped up my Yardinho by 117 and inho square by 2. Easy initial pickings is good for dopamine hits. (My nearest unvisited tile is only 8 tiles away by Manhattan/Taxicab Distance.)

Went for a lunchtime walk and increased my Ãœbersquadratinho to 13x13 but I'm now golf locked
Ok, so looks like two issues:
