  • There are various plug-ins you can use - either VeloViewer or Squadrats integrate into the usual route plotting apps to show tiles already bagged and highlight new ones on routes you are plotting. I use Strava.

  • Following yesterday's chat about farm trespass, took a lunchtime run to take advantage of the frozen floodplains today and nab a group of 5 that's been annoying me. Underestimated how much melting had taken place, so a lot of squelching in freezing calf-deep mud in between jumping gates. But, 16 new tiny squares in all, and no gets catched by frmr.

  • Winning

  • So, today took advantage of the school holidays and sneaked into an obscenity of a public school on the edge of town - looked like fucking Hogwarts, swimming pool, all manner of sports pitches, tennis courts, cricket nets, field of what I assume were polo ponies, private lake, acres and acres of beautiful parkland - and this is a primary school.

Anyway, Ruperts - all your squares are belong to me. 35 added to the yardinho.

  • Somerhill? I was planning to wait for the next kids football tournament there so I could trespass legitimately with the hoi polloi.

I forgot to record when my boys played rugby at Tonbridge School (the plebs are allowed to play them once a year), otherwise my Tonbridge yardinho could be more impressive.

  • The London Cyclocross League have a round at Somerhill every year. Spectators are welcome.

  • Somerhill indeed. When leaving, I found that you can get in easily through the A21 entrance (saw another runner come in that way), but I came in from Tudeley Rd by the main castle - tbf, nobody around, so that was also pretty easy.

You can easily get all the Tonbridge School squares just by walking around the pitches - they allow you to do that, even if you're just walking the dog. There's a public right of way coming in from London Rd. Judd School is my big issue - there's a square fully in their grounds that is majorly blocking my square growth, but they lock up tight.

  • I've got two boys at Judd. Waltz in and tell them you talked to someone on lfgss with kids at the school. They'll roll out the red carpet for you and your Garmin.

Alternatively, there are plenty of open days and evenings. I'll give you the nod if I see anything suitable before the forum goes tits up.

  • Thanks for that - ironically, my boy's rugby has been moved from TJ's to Vizard's tomorrow, but that doesn't get the square...
