Yep.
I have a hardtail and a new dual sus. Obviously I will do what every budding ultra racer should do and ride the brand new bike and the brand new shoes. Five Ten Trailcross middies with whichever Stamp pedals I don't forget to pack.

I think I'm slightly addicted to tile bagging in Squadrats. Great to have a reason to ride. Thanks to those that sent me on my way.

Squadrats ... just signed up and have discovered that the time I lent my bike and garmin to a friend for a ride to Paris is in there. Any easy way to remove other than s rolling back a year or more to find and delete?

Grew the max square by 1 to 57x, a year and a half after the 56x ride. Slow progress this way :) But back in the top 100 on VV, pleased with that.

I bumped mine to 20x20 before I left. Can only do short rides at lunch so doing the little squares for now. Kinda buggered already coz without trespassing I'm stuck in at least two directions.

without trespassing
but that's when it all gets more exciting!

"Oh, sorry - I was just following a route on my computer; what's the quickest way back to a public road?"

I've done this a number of times already and I've only just started doing this shit.
How many fucking golf courses do you need in one city ffs?

Ha, yep. It's the schools where I feel on slightly dodgier ground!

Which squares? Others might have some tips.
Wentworth was pretty easy from memory, but they may have tightened up things since I went through there ~5+ years ago.

One's a school (I could hop the fence and run across the sports ground but no one wants to be labelled a pedo) and the other is a private wood (which I could probably find someone to let me into but I haven't got that far yet).
I've not being able to do the big squares because I've not been on a long ride in ages (travel and sickness) so I'm just doing the little ones. Maybe instead of the Welsh audax this weekend I could try and hit some of the bigger tiles.
Wentworth?

St Georges Hill was a tricky one for me. I've still got to do the London Harbour ones if anyone wants to join??
I've had the odd funny set of golf clubs comment but I think the one that caught me off guard was practically being on a runway in or just outside SW London.

Know your enemy is key here, golf courses are usually worked on early doors so later in the evening is generally best.

A quick run round the necessary holes half an hour after sunset?

Wentworth?
It's a known tricky square as there are no public roads in the square, but there are public rights of way. It's a private golf club and estate.
I managed to cycle through there last time I was out that way, but they may have added extra security gates to keep the oiks out. (This was certainly the case at St George's Hill golf club, but it's not necessary to go through the private area to get the square, it just made for a nicer route and I was curious.)
For tricky squares I'll look at the OS map to see what public rights of way there are, and or look at the site that lists the tricky tiles (can't remember it right now).

Book a tee-time and go play a round?
(A few of my tiles have been got with activities other than cycling. Mostly swimming and running but I've got one that was golfwankering.)
Is that skinny's event?
What are you riding now MTBwise, flats?
