You know it is a legal requirement to have two working brakes?!?!

Do document though, you know .. for the lols.
Nobody can take that limelight from you

Where can I get the bolts I need for the rear caliper?
It only came with 2 tiny little screws that look like cleat bolts and which are like an inch too short.

Here are some useful links if you're committed to cable actuated brakes.
I ended up finding some cheapish hydro shifters and went that way on my CAAD12 disc after orignially planning to go with cables.http://forums.roadbikereview.com/cannondale/caad12-di2-354544.html
I have this synapse frame adapter spare somewhere in my parts box if you need it:

synapse frame adapter
Interesting, what does this change over the standard one?

Cheers boss

Standard one doesn't have those on of the two wings/fingers on the side to route the cables over into the NDS chainstay for the rear brake.

I don't quite understand, its been a long day at work. Looks like I'm gonna need one of those hey?
-
• #61
trust me, dont bother
-

Yes. Think you'll need one.
Guide on the left in the above photo is for rear mech. Upward facing one is for the front mech, right hand grove is for the rear brake hose. For mechanical brakes, you need the one with the same cable guide on the right. (Like the one from the synapse I linked to) So that the inner has a guide into the chainstay.
I'd tend to agree with the don't bother approach.
I'm tempted to sell my CAAd12 as I have a Isen on the way and going di2 with that. If you're interested I could part out the gearset (DA 9000 mechs, 685 shifters and appropriate calipers (post mount and flat mount) PM me if interested.

DA9000
That's gonna be beyond my budget I suspect. This build owes me around a grand already which makes my balls shrivel as it is.

You are over-estimating Cannondale's ability to design good bikes. Do document though, you know .. for the lols.
