Maybe search this thread for each of the flavours, see what people have said in the past also

Bets on doing that and finding that half the people love each one and half hate it?!

Perfect, used this!

Great thanks, hope Huel works for you!

I have toast for breakfast and a shake for lunch, keeps me going till dinner.

• #934
Excellent, sounds like I should be OK trying to rely on it then

To be honest, I don't think Huel alone will be great at stopping you from picking all day. The oats in the og version are very fine and you will digest and burn through them relatively quickly, especially compared to a bowl of porridge made with steel cut oats. "Food" you can drink will be digested quicker.
I would probably just look at Huel as a normal protein powder with the addition of oats in the original version. The added multi vitamin is great for vegans though.
That being said, if you really can't be bothered to cook, it's probably better than eating a block of cheese and a packet of biscuits. I would add some frozen fruit/a banana to the smoothies, it's nicer and will probably satiate you a bit more. Not trying to put you off, I have two huels a day!

I find the high protein Huel keeps me fuller than the regular one - happily have one for breakfast and cruise through til lunchtime. If I have one for lunch though I need a mid afternoon snack or I lose my ability to concentrate by late afternoon.

First few days of Huel, initial thoughts:
Standard powder in the morning and a hot one lunch followed by a bar is enough to keep me full till dinner
The bars are so far not great, weird powdery texture
the Mac N' Cheese is really nice
Cinnamon Swirl is weird, thankfully only had a single bottle, but not sure I will be ordering more -

It has been a few years since I was on Huel (5 maybe?)
Have they remedied the chronic, deathly flatulence side effects?Considering a return, probably for breakfasts only (powder, plain, mixed with either coffee or oat milk, or a combo, was my previous usage)

God knows, I work at home on my own, so can gas myself as much as I like.

It took my body a good couple of months to adjust, there is a supplement you can take to alleviate the gas if it’s unbearable (can’t remember the name but can find out if interested).
I think part of the key for me was getting the right consistency, too liquidy is bad for my guts. For lunch I use 200ml oat milk, 200ml water, half a banana and 1.5 scoops of vanilla black Huel. -

It was one of the reasons I stopped using it. The farts were just ungodly bad. You kinda get used to your own brand but they were so shockingly foul.
Might be partially to do with IF and dumping all that material in an empty system in one go.

the Mac N' Cheese is really nice
You joke? You want mine?
-
• #943
Why does everyone hate it so much, it's my fave flavour.....?
-
• #944
Genuinely like it! Just goes to show how subjective it all is.
Sadly not London based, else would have definetly taken it off your hands!
-
• #945
PM your address and I'll send it to you, I don't want it anywhere near me.
-
• #946
Amazing! Let me know if you want a different flavour in return\cash moneys\forum donation....

Would really like to know the name of mentioned supplement
-
• #948
I’m guessing it’s Beano or a similar digestive enzyme meant for breaking down Legumes.
-
• #949
Inulin powder was the stuff, probably the same active ingredient as ^.

Im looking at Huel as a way to manage hunger levels throughout the day. I eat 3 decent meals but have a fast metabolism combined with regular cycling means I’m dropping weight and feeling hungry and grouchy too much.
Plan is to have something I can drink mid-late afternoon before the hunger sets in and I still need to wait 3 hours until dinner.
How do I try Huel without dropping £100 on two bags of the stuff - is the bottled stuff in the shop the same? Are there cheaper alternatives?
Excellent, think I will get one bag of whatever sounds nicest and then buy a load of single bottles to see which flavours I might try next.
