Finally tried it.
It tastes better than I expected (I bought the vanilla one) ; but a bit too sweet. So maybe I'll order unflavored one and mix it. -

the unflavoured one is indeed not too good. vanilla I kinda like.
use it as a substitute for breakfast (3scoops) and tea (1,5scoop). have vietnamese for lunch and whatever for dinner.
looking fwd to lose a couple of pounds the lazy way, "eating" more healthy and save a bit of cash whilst im at it. will report back! -

I thought about making something like Huel myself and it actually works out cheaper if you shop around.
Powdered oats are about £4 for 2.5kg
Instead of rice and pea protein, I'd probably use whey isolate which is a little spendy at £15-20 per kilo but it's complete and digests well and doesn't taste like arse.
Then it's just a bit of powdered flax seed and coconut flour to get the fats up.Only thing missing from that is the vitamins they add but I normally take 4,000 iu of D3 a day plus some other things.
Mixing it properly could be tricky.

If I was gonna spend the time looking at that, weighing it up and mixing it, I'd probably just make some food.
-

Nah, it just means a bit of weighing and mixing once a month (or less) and you're set.

stomach already felt like it was eating itself come lunchtime so couldn't face my huel shake today so had a pret baguette instead. on the upside i could only find a container big enough for 2 portions and i'm in the office 3 days so i don't need to faff with bringing more in for wednesday now at least.

Week 2 of trying this as a snack replacement between meals, dictated by the calorie burn of my training rides before work. I find just a little bit of milk goes a long way to making the vanilla a bit more palatable, and better still found a use for all the weird and unwanted Nespresso tabs that have been sitting around my office kitchen for some time.
Anyone London-based want to swap a vanilla for an unflavoured by any chance?

Half n half. I've tasted it. It's the future.
-
• #286
That is to say mix half vanilla with half unsweetened.
-
• #287
Yeh, I am doing two scoops plain and one scoop vanilla and it makes it far more palatable. won't go as far as enjoyable
-
• #288
I'm enjoying it - have it with protein shake in the morning and after gym. It doesn't mix that well but maybe its my technique

If you haven't already got one, use one of those wire mixer balls in the shaker. It makes the world of difference.

I'm about 2 weeks in and ready to make my 2nd order. Actually really enjoy my vanilla shakes, I usually make it with 3 ice cubes, then an aeropress coffee straight into it. Has been working great as an actual nutritious breakfast, and a lunch which isn't a meal-deal.

I use a nutribullet to blend it and add 4 or 5 ice cubes to get the texture I like. Room temperature Huel feel a bit bleurgh, slightly colder is more palatable for me.

Room temp is like reverse puking.

Water and coconut milk for me.
Blend at home, shake at work.
@Well_is_it yeah those mixer balls help but still find it gets a lil lumpy

4x vanilla ordered, embracing the sawdust life

Finding I quite like unflavoured with a couple of teaspoons of cacao powder... Kind of bitter but chocolatey. The Cacao is probably doing more harm than the sucralose would, though.
Aeropress in unflavoured is gross but is delicious in the vanilla one.

Unflavoured plus banana and coffee and milk is probably my favourite breakfast on a weekday at the moment. Or with strawberries instead of coffee. Only using about a scoop, scoop and a half of Huel though given all the other stuff I'm putting in.

2 scoop vanilla + 1 scoop unflavored is still edible.

You can get 30% off this...there is more sugar in it but looks pretty similar to Huel apart from that
Or cocoa
