Chapeau to the power x. Great ride.

Ditto, much respect boomboom.

Note "visibility and crumple zones", i.e. people see the vehicle, not you seeing where you're going.

Looks like Caroline Item should get in today. 50% success rate on bikes I worked on is alright.

I get that, just doesn't work because of the low profile of those things.
What about the venting bit?
Ride a 40kg velomobile up a steep hill (like they do in TCR) and pray for wind? -

Shitter on the dog, rabies jabs do not sound fun!!
big congrats.
Oh and on the last day those were my thoughts too, so I stuck on my 'get the fucking job done' playlist.

Depends on the design of the shell, if the bubble canopy is hinged appropriately, the rider could set it ajar. Add a battery-powered fan for low-speed efforts?
I've got an OG Ice Trike (tadpole) which is slow enough without adding the weight of a fairing.

Have you started foaming at the mouth yet? :)
Awesome work getting to the finish with your dramas.

I was intending to leave it up until every rider actively riding has finished or scratched.
But if some stragglers are treating it as tourism... I'd just ignore them.

Some examples of my ultra racing vs. touring:
rushing into servos to apply tape to my arse vs. rushing into bar to catch TdF finale
slapping myself in the face to stay awake, don't recall ever doing this touring
sit down meals vs. garage forecourt feeding
hotel vs. bus stop bivvy
brushing teeth on the bike
wait out the rain vs. ride through the rain
stop to take photos or explore vs. hate stopping
stopping at 1-2 beers would never happen if i was touring -

None of those on the road at present appear to be touring.

:) I know. Hence it still being on the front page.

I do that normally. It's a side-effect of wearing bibshorts. :)

Am I the only one that returned 5kg heavier?

Haha what works for one doesn't work for all.
But beast mode is 90's hip hop and some modern hip hop too. Mobb deep, currency etc. And job done is etherwood on loop. That etherwood album takes me to some dark places that I've been, so it reminds me I can push through anything.

Only 2kg for me but when I moved the laptop out of the kitchen and away from the biscuits it helped a lot. #dotwatchinglife
Congratulations, boomboom!
