Nice. Very nice.

It's a bit of a beast, very easy to overfill it and then be waiting forever for it to boil, but is great for big teapots :). Have had it 10 years or so and a bit of a scrub and some limescale remover and it's good as new again.

I've been impressed by this. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2137074 Boils enough for a cuppa in about 45 seconds.

After 6 years of faithful service, our Bosch (same one mentioned on the first page) finally stopped working so purchased a Kitchenaid Artisan kettle.
Pretty spendy but it's a lovely thing. Which best buy too.

4 years after i bought it, my dualit kettle has stopped functioning, the on off button will no longer stay down and boil.
bottom off and had a look at the switchgear but nothing obvious, after 4 years of pushing it down to switch on something must have gradually been bent inside and it no longer locks in the on positionbummer man
is it worth trying to contact dualit ?
or recommendations for my next one

I don't want to jinx it but the Bosch kettle that failed for @Fox is coming up to its tenth birthday this Christmas. A couple of years ago it had a little hiccup where it sometimes turned off before it got to 100C and I started researching getting a new kettle which seemed to scare it into working faultlessly again.

Coincidentally, our electric hob got smashed as our kettle went on the blink, we replaced it with an induction hob and found it would heat a pan of water to boiling rapidly so replaced our kettle with a hob kettle to work with the induction hob, improved counter space and nicer aesthetic

Stuck in with Covid and the kettle broke this morning. To my shame I got a free Amazon prime trial and ordered a cheap Bosch one which should arrive today.

A kettle is very much like a beautiful woman - in order to get them hot, you have to supply an electric environment and then forcefully flick their switch ( Swiss Tony anyone ? )
must have spent £'s on the overboil on my old knackered kettle, it's nice not to have to run to the kitchen to turn off the steam maker, this thing switches of as soon as its 99.9C
have returned to the dualitt a few times to check it's on too, it's a quiet starter
