Something.
Do something.
So we can hate or love it. -

What do you actually want MPs to do?
Ideally? The tic-tac-toe scene in War Games.
-
• #19704
They'd need a vote on who goes first. I doubt there'd be a majority for either option.

From my understanding the term refers to postmodernism as an imposed idiology. I think it’s a fairly new term, conservatives like Douglas Murray of The Spectator have used it for a couple of years. It’s true it’s been adopted widely by the antisemitic far right. The idea that the term is toxic (either ‘because bigot x used it’ or because Marx and postmodern philosophers were Jewish) ... is a bit of a stretch I think but we live in weird times.

this government wrote to every household prior to the referendum, promising that the outcome of the referendum would be implemented
But it was always non-binding?

23.18 update most interesting:
May urged to suspend any Tory MP that refuses to back her deal,
flushng them out, as they then could not stand in any election as a Conservative. The break up of the Tory party is the logical conclusion of the nearly 30 year internecine squabble that resulted in the Referendum.
I doubt May has the fortitude to carry out this suggestion of suspension.

May urged to suspend any Tory MP that refuses to back her deal,
Her majority is so incredibly slim - it's basically a minority in fact, at least w.r.t. Brexit - that I can't see this being a credible threat. Unless she's planning a GE very soon (not unreasonable)
-

Yeah, May isn’t going to do this as pretty much everything she’s done since the referendum is to keep the Tory’s as one party, and keep (Corbyn’s commie) Labour out of power. It’s a dogmatic principle for her which isn’t actually good for anybody but ‘by golly she said she’d do’ it sort of thing. Like Brexit.
-

Predictably May’s deal is back in the game with boris and ERG lot saying they’ll back it. Don’t know if they’ll get the numbers, depends on dup and labour rebels again.
There was the Supreme Court judgement to block PM using royal prerogative so I don’t think they can bounce parliament unless they have another arcane law up their sleeve.
Best thing I think can happen is long extension 2+ years then new referendum or change of government to can it.

... when you can't differentiate between politics and Magic: The Gathering anymore, you know things are bad.

Rejected Brexit petition to be debated in the house on April 1. Delicious irony or just another fuck to add to the mounting cluster?

Well jv’s Not the one who keeps moving stuff from the graveyard to the battlefield.

If only we could cast a "stop Brexit" followed by "send any creatures controlled by black magic back into the deck" EDIT graveyard is even better ;)

Nigel "nasty little man" Dodds at it again DUP backing this:
One asks for the result of the EU referendum in 2016 to be respected.
Another is the Malthouse Compromise, which calls for the Irish border backstop to be replaced with alternative arrangements. [which the EU has already said no to]
"Meanwhile, leading Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg has said he will only back the government's Brexit deal if the DUP does." Bah.

• #19717
All the Brexit loonies are shitting it that they back it, it still fails, and they get called traitors by their facebook groups.
It's the ultimate save my face rather than represent what I actually think is right - even if you simply don't agree with their politics, they are clearly the most disingenuous bunch of twats going.
-
• #19719
Surely they’ll use a points system? It’s a bit worrying they were considering anything but a points system tbh.
-
• #19720
Tory MPs including those on the pay role can vote and do whatever they want. We all know May is out the door shortly and the first action of any new leader will be to unite the party. Possibly in preparation for a general election. So it will be forgive and forget all round.

I had no idea we were so well prepared for no deal, I feel a lot better having watched this

Going to go out on a limb and suggest... nothing material?

Well he has been "admonished." What else do you sadist monsters want? A firm reprimand?

Putting salt in the milk he puts in his tea would be a start, then it can be followed up with a "strongly worded letter" and anonymous calls/tweets with just "tut-tutting" ;)
I don't get this 'sort their shit out' notion. They can't agree, so they don't agree, much like the rest of the country. You are essentially rephrasing May: MPs need to get it over with. As if wishing it makes it happen. What do you actually want MPs to do?
