Comments are good too
Well Prime Minister, let me put it this way; It's as if the electorate where children asked to choose between Daddy and Chips. Being children and consequently short term thinkers they inevitably chose Chips. Now, ignoring the fact that without Daddy's income coming into the family home they face an impoverished future, it also transpires that when they chose Chips, they all had a different idea of how the Chips would be served. Some want ketchup, some salt and vinegar, some curry suace and some, I beleive, actually want gravy. There are still a few who want the Chips 'au natural' and are so determined that they would have them cold rather than have any condiment. A veritable impasse, which is where we are with Brexit...

Marina Hyde is not very kind to Rees-Mogg
If you had to distil into one personage the British people’s gibbering historical deference to terrible ideas advanced by low-to-middlebrow post-feudal shitlords who openly detest them, this plastic aristocrat would be it. Rees-Mogg is the logical end of whole centuries of barking up the wrong tree.

She is so good. So is John Crave
"Still, it will be one upside if we’re no longer required to genuflect and defer to Dyson on matters other than suction."

He rose to prominence because he held his own in fairly adversarial settings on TV--several people all arguing against him
Actually he rose to prominence as an author, then started appearing on TV. But you're right, his problem is he can't decide whether he wants to be a journalist or a pundit. He's gone the pundit route recently but I don't think it's been that successful. But it would now be very hard for him to return to journalism as he's become so totemic.
He should probably go back to writing books.

Yeah, just need to murder a few women, children and the crippled. Can we say it is a bit late for the centenary.

So, stockpiling.
Are we going to have power-outages to deal with, given that we import ~7% of our electricity, or should we be ok there?
Has a huge impact on what to buy from a storage and preparation perspective.

All the factories closing down will probably make up for that 7%

Today*, EMA staff lowered the 28 EU flags and symbolically said goodbye to their London offices. Guido Rasi expressed his thanks to the UK for its contribution to the work of the Agency and for having been a gracious host of EMA since 1995.

BTW Dutch government is discussing an emergency law to allow dual nationality for unmarried Brits (Dutch / British is now only allowed if you are married to a Cloggy) I have email addresses if you know people affected, just sent a lot of emails to MPs.
