  • I actually gave a roll of similar tape to that to my mate recently for his lo pro. Should of kept it! Benotto will be nicer though

  • ... @haveo , I think I papped you earlier whilst I was out taking photos..! Knew I'd seen that frame somewhere..

  • Haha that is me, on my way to get a bb fitted!

  • A few updates,

New front wheel has arrived. New mack hub laced to mavic open 4 cd. The front sheriff star hub will be laced to the mavic rim.

Also stole the seatpost from the martrac, I have a feeling that it might actually be a c-record version but haven't looked into it.

  • I just came here to tell you that there are some Tommasini air forks on ebay that you could potentially shorten to 650 but it looks like they're sold already.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tommasini-AIR-Fork-700C-Track-Pista-No-Brake-Hole-/131754312786?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=1aK8jZcNEujNcNtfST4gJBKwba8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

  • Err pretty sure they're his... Well, were.

  • Guess who bought a 650c Tommasini Columbus air fork :~)

  • Who?

  • Me!

Will need stripping and chroming at some point

  • Do you have any photos?

  • None of my own for a while but they are the ones on here:

  • I'll pop some photos up of the fork later today

  • Apologies for the quick phone snaps, but this is the fork in its current state

  • Nice one, cheers mate

  • Ehhhh just measured the fork steerer on the set of Tommasini forks and they are 2cm too short... Which means getting the steerer replaced.

I've emailed Faggin a few days ago but haven't gotten a reply, fork should of been done by now. Going to see how well it comes out before deciding on what to do with the Tommasini fork

  • You must be dreaming of forks during the night.

  • Actually I had a nice 2 weeks of not thinking about any forks over Easter but now I'm back and the nightmares are back

  • Nooo! Nightmare!

  • So sheriff star hubs should be getting built on to mavic ceramic rims hopefully in about a week.

Any advice for the Faggin situation? They aren't responding to my messages

  • Thanks for that by the way

  • You need to let me borrow them to see how the colour looks on mine :~)

  • Email from Faggin today. It's finished and going to be shipped tomorrow. They said it should hopefully be with me by next week!

The moment of truth is finally here, are they going to have gotten my order right?!

  • Faggin forks are here! Overall I'm happy. They aren't the same Columbus air as the other air forks I have. If you remember back, I think it is the same type as the one that Steve Goff said he could put together. Where the blades are aero but it tapers at the end so can accommodate regular fork crowns. The one of the Faggin still has a slight sweep back but not as much as the other air forks.

For the money I payed though, it really is alright, especially when you factor in that it is fully chromed. Clearences aren't razor sharp but respectable.

Considering that they came out pretty good, I'm going to ditch the Tommasini air forks which I found while I was waiting. The cost of getting the steered extended and then chromed while be a lot, and I'll still end up with a road fork...

I now need to find where I put the fork race so I can fit them but I can't remember where I put it...
