what rims are they?
i have a bit of liquidity now, and i think i need to pimp my tommi a bit more
i was hoping to find some wolbers, tx profils, but cant find a set without rim wear that has knackered the anodising.
i think the rims need to be clinchers, im far too lazy to be dicking around with tubs
bump for your tommi too, looks boss -

Cheers man, I managed to get a set of NOS magic open 4cd, took several months to get hold of and I got lucky. Really if you want no break surface you'all probably need to search for NOS

yeah, i know it.
doesnt make it easier though, or any less frustrating.
i can make do with what im rolling on, but its always easier to want 'more'we should get these machines together for a proper pose :) think we might turn some heads.
big up

Any luck finding some rims yet?
We do have to get both of them together at some point

Just picked up a Cinelli 2A for this stupidly cheap on eBay. Want to start riding this now that the weather is getting a bit better. Really need to sort out my wheels though as they aren't running all that smooth, will take them to a bike shop for get some new bearing put in hopefully soon.

yeah we should.
ive ridden it out a few days on circuit recently, such a dream to ride (still).
but ive been hyper paranoid locking it in the street for time on end when working.
most drops/pickups are quick, but its always the time you free-lock that you get stuck-up up on a 27th floor or something because the douches havent got the goods ready. kinda frazzles your nerves.as for rims.... i think im close. i want to match up the back to the front (if that makes sense?)
i got a handle on a 36h wolber tx profil which is nos, but ideally i want 32h, and i think im going to be a bit of a princess about it.either way, its rolling, so bring the good weather and we can pose :))

Ha thankfully I rarely have to lock mine up.
Yeah take your time getting the rims you really want, you don't want to be slashing out on a wheel build with parts that you don't really want. If you don't need them quickly then wait it out.

The 2A arrived, very pleased. eBay skills on point at the moment.

nice shot !

How long is that. You are always getting nice long ones.
Probably one I was watching (falls in the category of 120+mm cinelli or ITM stem). -
• #312
130mm :-)

true that
im in no real rush, tbh. it does make sense to wait and get it right the first time, but saying that is a shed load easier than the practice.
im sure you know that :)
well done with the stem btw; top ebay skills -

Classic. Definitely one I was watching. I'm still content, with my recently adopted eBay account have bagged a 14cm black cinelli and 13cm black ITM eclypse.
The ability to buy things from a computer is really hurting the bank tbh. -

hmm been thinking about selling this recently

Just reread this thread, it's a roller coaster isn't it
-

I can see you regretting that down the line, it's an awesome bike.
-
• #318
Yeah I probably would. I really haven't used it much in the last few months though and it is a huge chunk of money to just have sitting idle. Main problem I'd have selling is the small dink on the downtube that I found, won't get anywhere near what I paid.

Put it up for sale for the price you paid and gauge the interest?
-
• #320
Well this is as finished as it will ever be in my hands. Putting it up in the classifieds later today.

Looks good. Like you reason yourself - i think you might have a prblem accepting it due to the fact that it is a yellow saddle. But it works! Let it grow on you. Black would be a bit too mundane
