I bought some old school rubber and metal ones that weigh a tonne.

Hugely so - but that's not really the point with this. If I had built it up with DA 9,000 and carbon wheels then they'd never be up for consideration, but I didn't so they are.

I like it but then i'm late 30s so i remember looking at bikes like this one in a mag when I was younger.

Did I read someone saying this was an average build? How many of these frames have been turned into period correct bikes? I don't know of a single one. You've done a brilliant job in a very short time.

Met the Klein this morning and was suitably dazzled by the paint finish and amused by the pump. Nicely done.

I just found a NIB 600 tri groupset if you need.

Aero levers and Syncros stem have arrived, no sign of the Syncros post yet, but that said I am in Stockholm right now so I can't put the parts on the bike anyway.

That's exactly what I've done. Iroko reclaimed parquet. Just doing the skirting now. SO MUCH WORK. have you done it before? If you haven't I'll give you tips that I wish someone had given me.
