  • It hasn't been ridden in months and I'm not sure I can justify keeping it. I think I'd have to choose between either the Neil or the Anchor and in terms of frame design, the Neil is much cooler. The Anchors paint is crazy but other then that it is the same as your average NJS frame, still great but just not as unique if you know what I mean.

I'll have more of a think about it but I kind of want some money for a nice lo pro wheelset...

  • +1 on keeping it.

  • I've had a think and the Anchor is going to go. Unfortunately I have too many bikes and not enough time to ride them. I'd rather it go to someone who would actually use it

  • @AMAC are these yours bro

  • Both the triple and the yellow Neil were bought from him

  • Just ordered a dura ace headset for the OSCA. Once that arrived I'll be able to get it built up and on the road.

Will be getting my 75's with aero ring, rear hed disc, my ratty flite and a set of blue nitto risers (for realz). Going to be a fun bike

  • Mock build:

Headset still isn't here :-( Itching to try it out. I've bought a russian Juna disc to go on the rear, its in a tatty state so will suit the frame nicely. Going to loctite a cog on the rear I think as theres no lockring thread. Picked up a cheap nitto pearl 10 on eBay to use with the blue nitto risers (don't worry, hidden beneath bar tape). Its getting my shittiest flite saddle.

    Here are some frame details:

The seat post fitting is a little strange, there are gaps at the side however it is tight and the post isn't slipping.

Heres a pic showing how crazy the geo is, the top tube is stupidly steep. Seat tube and head tube angles are also steep. I'm worried about not fitting it but I think the geo is off putting, the effective top tube length is only 54cm. I just won't have a huge amount of seatpost showing.

  • dont hide the blue bars.
    get rowdy wid it

  • I think that Osca might be my new favourite bike in your fleet.

  • Is that pink mtb yours too?! Loving it!

  • maybe a ironic thought seeing your history with the tommasini, but isnt the osca made for double 700c s?!

geo looks indeed weird as. and seeing you have a 700c air fork lying around, you could try to see if it looks more logical?

  • That did cross my mind but looking at the bb height, with the 650c fork it is already pretty high, especially compared to the Tommasini. Putting a 700c fork in would make is abnormally high no?

  • I think less seat post is good on lo pros. I also believe it won't be as steep one a headset is fitted. Juna disc the grey painted one for sale on here?

  • well yes. i reckon just measure it to be sure.

interwebz says 280mm for a track bike is normal. measure from ground to middle of bb shell.*

*this is all from a quick google, i stand to be corrected

  • @BigH Yeah adding the headset will lift it a bit. Yep, got it for a decent price so I'm happy

@Rodolfo I've measure when I'm home. I did some searching online and only found one other OSCA made of columbus air. That one has a 700c front fork apparently made by Cazzaniga however it doesn't appear to be made form columbus air so might not be original

  • Wicked. Excited to see it on the osca.

/\/\ From the photos the bb height looks spot on. Its really doesn't look like its meant for a 700c fork

  • That ST angle looks a bit mad though, even for an over the top lo-pro. It's almost NJS 90º levels

  • There was a red Osca pursuit frame made from Columbus Air in classifieds a few months ago. The seller removed all references and photos after the sale unfortunately (an annoying practise, maybe there should be a classifieds rule on this @Velocio ? ) leaving an empty thread.

  • @Rodolfo measured and it is bang on 280mm which means 650c is probably right?

To be fair I've seen a fair few weird frames come from eastern Europe so I'm not fussed by the weird geo, its what makes it special

@Carabo Hate it when people do that! The backlog of sales threads is actually a really useful way for getting info and also valuating parts.

  • Probably going to sell the blue road Neil and also maybe the bio bike frame if anyone is interested

  • The black osca is the same as mine: https://flic.kr/s/aHskmTEj4B
There's no columbus air tubes in them.

  • Ooh, just looked again, I think the shadows on the seatpost threw me off.

The forks and seat stays on yours are very nice

  • Forks are custom made by Cazzaniga, the seat stays were ovalised by him as well

  • So close... Just need a bb.Its a bit weird because the bb shell is 68mm and the threads are british.

  • Details:

These clearances!! Its touching with a 23c on the front

Saddle is set to close to my height now. Rear disc will he here soon, its all coming along nicely. I've been thinking of adding off the rust near the seatpost and then covering it in nail polis or something.
