The rear triangle geometry will have to change if I swap dropouts. So it is not an option.
I will probably ride this frame for one more cx season and the build something with ΓΈ44mm head tube and thru axle. Then either sell it or make it a beater... We will see ;-) -

Not quite feeling the crankset, but the rest is ace. Loving the paint/decal combo.

I wouldn't mind an all black version of both the rotors and raceface chain ring.

Just your size as well ;-)

I'm diggin' the Rotor... any retention to stop the chain from coming off?
-
• #249
Nope. Not necessary with race face narrow wide so far

Amazing thread and lovely bike. It's projects like this one that make this forum great.
What's the x5 modification for? Is it adjusting cable pull to make the 10 speed shifters compatible with the 9 speed mech? I though the mech would work fine as it was with 10 speed shifters. If it is to sort cable pull how did you know the size to make the brass fitting?
Did you consider removing sliding dropouts? I realise its more work and you can always go back to SSCX if you leave them. But they're largely excess weight now aren't they? Or does it give you a noticeable longer wheel base for longer more relaxed riding?
Not criticising. Just wondering.
