  • Thanks man. Can't wait to get this back on the road.
Cable guides are halfway done, so dropping it off at armourtex tomorrow.

    What colour guys? Black again?

  • Or very very dark grey.

  • That gusset is a really cool detail. Might be a bit lost on black? Sparkly decals could work with some fairly light colour. Maybe, dunno.

  • I have a light bike, it looks dirty always.
Forks are matte black, and are not getting painted this time.
    Dark grey might be good

  • I thought we had already agreed on this?

  • hard to catch the colour. Hopefully the sun shines tomorrow

  • Tease! Asking what colour we thought. This frame just gets better and better. Nice job.

  • Had not decided color before going to Armourtex. I seriously handed it in yesterday, picked it up today. Fucking crazy turnover.

  • Very nice paintjob !!

  • Thank you. Iridescent Black Fire powder coat it's called. 125gbp at Armourtex for frame inc blast etc. Wonky decals I mounted myself...

  • awesome

  • This will no longer be ridden as sscx. It will be setup as 1x10 with SRAM s700 hydraulic shifters and a customized SRAM X5 rear mech.

    Partslist looks like this:

    • Thomson Elite kit
    • Deda RHM01 460mm bars
    • Rotor 3D + Rotor BB - Raceface NW 44T
    • KMC chain
    • Specialized Phenom saddle
    • Shimano MT66 tubeless wheelset
    • Vittoria XM pro tyres

This is my first attempt at a tubeless setup, quite excited about it for the upcoming cx season. Been running clinchers for most races (which is shit if you are a big bloke like me) and tubs for one season, which is a lot of work and expensive, but nice because of no pinch flats.

  • Were you just going to glue in the threaded insert?

  • It is not necessary. It is pretty much press fit and unwinding an M5 barrel adjuster doesn't require that much force. I think it will be all right like this. I won't know until I mount the cable.

  • Iridescent powder coating? I didn't even know that was possible, awesome!

  • sickness

  • Looks awesome. Hope it's coming to Epping soon?

  • Not cheap paint but definitely worth it !
Nice setup, waiting for the finished build !

  • It will. Just had SBC ream and face it, so all I need now is my new Cane Creek 40 headset to arrive and then I will build it up.
