Thank you. Was watching on a phone, should have looked up the results

Watching the rerun I partly blame the crappy camerawork

The Bahrain unhappiness seems to be continuing fallout from the 2019 story re. their team principal Milan Erzen apparently buying a blood centrifuge from the doctor arrested in Operation Aderlass, and the riders linked to it

Ahh so it was Poels in the end, The screen had Mader but Hatch and Bagstead thought it was Poels.

Brilliant team, brilliant winner

Wasn't Poels the last man for froome in the mountains .

How could a team like Alpecin-Fenix join the World Tour?
Surely they deserve a place over Cofidis?! I’d suggest Movistar after the latest Netflix horror show but they’ve looked more coordinated recently and I’d miss their bullshit.

They don't want to be WT. It makes it very expensive, because you'd be obligated to race across the globe, have more riders under contract etc. Don Patlef has made a few agitated remarks about it being unfair that such a proconti team is allowed to stay proconti despite having such quality riders winning all the races he wants to win.

Interesting, thanks.

I posted this in the gravel thread but this is pro cycling now. It’s going to grow and grow.

Nice one, I was wondering if they'd produce a video like that.

Do you think they’ll limit unbound and similar events to a small number or one rider per pro team to stop it becoming a mass pro bunch off the front with tactics?
-
• #35389
This isn’t the official one, which I think is to come, but is the best coverage I’ve seen so far.
-
• #35390
I hope not. It’s a race, not a sportive.

It's so bro tho.

Not much social distancing in Arkansas then....

Belgium tour should be fun.
Bennett is out due to injury, so Cavendish drafted into Quickstep A team against Ewan and some top name sprinters.

Unbound can do one. All I have seen the last few days is unbound this, unbound that but Gravel still ain't pro, bro. It's where washed out roadies go to die

• #35396
... although it's been two years and the banned riders are now free to race. Koren returns at the Tour of Slovenia where he'll be racing against Bahrain and Pog, no sign of whether Durasek will return to UAE or not.

Ellingworth and McLaren and Cav got the fuck out of there sharpish
-
• #35398
What UCI classification does Unbound have then? Oh yeah none
Sportive thread pls

• #35399
It totally is

Hah lighten up! It’s fabulous stuff…like pre-war grand tour racing. Multiple world tour teams showing up to these races now, too. Can’t wait to see where it goes in the next few years.
It’s better than cyclocross!
He was fifth.
