It’s better than cyclocross!
Mods, can you ban this troll please?

The top 3 finishers at Badlands were pros. If I can never win a gravel race, at least don't rub it in by putting their gravel shit in here, there's a gravel thread already.
(but also, thanks for the link, I'll still watch it because, as the josh abraham's track says, "I'm totally addicted to race")

This gravel thing will blow over, like 10 years ago track was a thing, then cyclocross, then ultracycling, now gravel is so hot right now. Bloody hipsters.
Edit: I forgot to put retro in there, somewhere. Very guilty of that one too, meself. -

I feel seen.

Gravel ‘racing’ is for failed road racers.
I think I’ve got one more year of getting spat in races before I give it a go.

Was your ultra phase when you went outside M25 6 months ago?

He counted the laps wrong and did an extra one?

I did the Roadmans 25 at Herne Hill. I think that counts as an ultra event. Certainly felt like it.

Canterbury is basically a suburb of London.

This was pre pro gravel. So you know. WAAAAY before #outsideisfree and #danglebongs.

Mate. Have you been?
It's like stepping back 25 years in time. -

It was the first place I stayed on my grand European tour back in 2005.

165km fam. Entered a 144km Nat B road race in a few weeks which will have some pros in it and I'm woefully underprepared. I'll be entering gravel races the following day...

If you don't attack this from the gun, is it really even racing?
-
• #35421
I'll leave the attacks to the Zwift-heads

Wout up for 600k damages to his old team:
I'm no legal eagle and didn't know the ins and out but I was surprised when it got thrown out the first time.

You mean the people that weigh as much as me IRL but somehow have 6W/kg threshold? Yeah, they'll be tough to beat :)

A lot of this sentiment…
Gravel ‘racing’ is for failed road racers.
My my. Are world tour domestiques failed road racers now? LTD completed 10 TDFs and ~20 GTs! Should they retire quietly to their bungalows or take punditry/commentary roles so we can slam their banter and wardrobe?
I don’t think gravel racing is going away. Mostly because there are bikes to sell, whereas cross-specific race bikes and track bikes always had a limited market.

Unbound was won by a retired domestique. I'm not knocking LTD's former acheivements but gravel races are deffo not a pro races and deffo not worthy of this thread.
