Mark Donovan has signed with Sunweb for the next two years. He had a stagiare deal with Sky less than 12 months ago, so it’s a surprise to see him sign elsewhere.

Van Aert and Van der Poel to replace Sagan.
Hopefully a new Cancellara/Boonen rivalry for Flanders and Roubaix

I don't think Lefevre signed Remco up for his GT potential

Sky aren’t short of decent young climbers in fairness.
Gabriel ‘Gabz’ Cullaigh to Movistar is slightly left field. Look forward to seeing how he does.

One of the reasons though. He ticks so many boxes...

I'm still haunted by the faces Victor Campenaerts was pulling trying to hold his wheel on the flat. He must have been getting zero draft.

Dat position tho

Evidently works!
His CDA must be seriously low, given his compact size... -

I can only dream of such flexibility.

Helps being below average height and having the bendiness of a 19 year old...

Yes, it is, but less so if you happen to be a sprinter.

To go to mtb. Amazing win by Jenny rissveds yesterday, so deserved after her troubles.

Was really surprised to see her back as I don't watch much XC these days and half expected she was going to find a new "thing" after her personal issues and the drama around the Swedish national team stuff. Her new Team 31 initiative seems like part of the recovery though which is really good for her.

It passed me by until now that Domenico Pozzovivo suffered possibly career-ending injuries in a training ride crash earlier in the week:
Sad to hear. Hope he's back on a bike again at some point.

MVDP at it again in Norway, practically making a joke of the rest of the peloton by sprinting from the front 4 days after winning the MTB short track and the XC race in Switzerland. Jeez.

He's current XC euro champ as well right? Beasted the race after a first lap crash. 1 of only 2 riders I'll admit to being a fanboy of!

Ivan Sosa welcomed Giro winner Carapaz to Team Ineos by putting 40 seconds into him on the final climb at Vuelta a Burgos

You leave Movistar; Movistar never leaves you.
Always attack your own leader.

Julian Alaphillipe has scored 36 PCS points per race day this season. Which is impressive, until you find out that Matthieu Van der Poel has scored 63 per race day.

There's no denying MvdP's strength and skills but I think he's also slightly flattered by picking a limited set of races that work for his strengths. That's not a bad thing but it'd be interesting to see how he goes with a full road season rather than jumping in for stuff that suits him. I'm sure his competitors hope that a full season would slow him down a bit as the prospect of a full season of competing against that sort of strength would be depressing for a lot of other pro riders.
Only in January in Adelaide though.
