D, May all your groupsets be toutes Mavic.
My heartfelt condolences to Dwayne's family, loved ones and all of us here, who so obviously dig the guy and all he did with and for us.
Thanks JD for putting us in the picture.
Bye Dwayne. You rock!

Echo all the sentiments above. Such a nice guy with the best taste in bikes. So sad. Wore my 531 tee yesterday in remembrance. RIP Dwayne.

I'm quite happy to speak ill of the dead, but in Dwayne's case I'd have nothing to say.
RIP.

Bright times re-union would be fitting. DMZ was stylish, charming and up beat personified.
One of my fondest memories was a messy forum session at the Sloany, followed by a house party at Fiddys, Me Big Red and DMZ in a drinking competition.. Dwayne kept up the pace, as always big red won. i spent the night on the toilet floor (i came a close second) when i woke I found Fiddy smoking a fag buying bike parts on interweb, Richie looking he was on the wrong side of a kicking and Dwayne in a suit, immaculate and smiling and off out to work! Forged not born that cat!!
RIP buddy X

I still have one of your stickers on my tube pass.
Met his stepson(?) last time I saw him. Rest in peace old boy. My thoughts go out to those closer to him than me. Guiness anyone?
Now where is that ridiculous April Fools' "for sale" he put up?

Now where is that ridiculous April Fools' "for sale" he put up?
Ooh, yeah, totally forgot about that... absolutely golden forum moment...

So terribly sad to hear about this, sold a couple of things to him over the years, always at best possible price (for him : ) ) but was such a gent about it. Once got lost coming to my house and was so overly apologetic about his latest it was almost silly.
A sale always turned into a chat about bike parts and projects both at the time and future. It's been said so often already but would like to add what a genuine gent.
May you rest in peace Dwayne.

Was thinking about that April Fool's just the other day. Totally had me fooled anyways, Joe Slain was in on it too if I remember correctly. Acrostic text spelt April fool but I didn't see it. Said a lot about Dwayne's quiet humour!

It was all his idea IIRC, long time ago...
Lovely to see everyone tonight, I've only just got in... Festus bought Dwayne a pint, it remained on the table til the end of the night then it was ceremonially poured onto the road... We were thinking on our feet...
We miss you, man... Way too soon to be leaving us... Gutted... X

Very sad to hear...RIP Dwayne
How sad. When I think of him I see that huge smile. I hope his family get to see this thread - a lovely tribute to a much loved man.
