Epping Spins - Frequent Weekday/end Rides

FTFY. These factors aren't helped by the fact that you will have usually just gone hell for leather down Epping New Road trying to keep some ridiculous pace and burned up the last of your energy at the end of a ride. This makes Lea Bridge about 6km of horrid, almost bonking stop-start nonsense.

Bun Lea Bridge Road, I hate it.

Oh yeah, I was talking about Epping new road, reading fail. I turn off towards Hackney Wick now, so miss the bottom half of it which is more than fine.

The main problem with the A104 Lea Bridge Road/Woodford New Road/High Road Woodford Green/Epping New Road is that there are very few convenient ways out of Clapton. If you're tricitybendix, you go up the A10, but other than that there's only the A104 plus variations. You can go up to Chingford (even by train from Clapton Station or earlier stations if you want to avoid the junk miles), you can go via Snaresbrook, or you can get off the A104 at Buckhurst Hill, but you're usually stuck with at least a bit of the A104. And this is what gets boooring. As major radial routes go, it's not the worst but not the best, either, with a long legacy of bad traffic schemes. A recent improvement is that Waltham Forest has done a nice new traffic scheme at the Baker's Arms.

I'm up for the 6:30 on Thursday. My BB area has been making weird noises too, I'm gonna grease my Frogs and see if it helps, ta for reminding me they're a potential culprit.

I have a grease gun thing if anyone wants to use it.
