Hm. Girls bike or childs bike... not sure which I would want less.

I'm 170cm too and my talbots 51 ETT with a 110mm stem, i've got loads of setback due to the 74 deg ST
If i was to do it all again my only change would be 73 ST and a 52cm ETT i think

isn't it a gravel racer? 74 seat tube sounds about right for that.

Miro_o, I've changed my mind about the chainrings. I must have these.
Howard - I'm not sure how feasible getting hold of one of those frames would be, and tbh I don't care enough about 30mm of spacers to go through a further 6 months of trying to sell a frame to buy another one to respray it to make it look ok and losing a bunch of riding time and money in the meantime.
This frame is fine - it might have a couple of spacers, but I can live with that. The paintjob is another matter, but one I have in hand.

The colour really isn't bad...all dales (bar stealth ones) are over logod... i wouldn't pay to change it, just make the build very toned down around it (black for the lot). Rode a supersix evo last week for 25 miles and really liked the bike. I think its one of the best production all rounders.
If the stem length bothers you look at a shorter reach bar to enable a longer stem.
I also think unless you are building a high end boutique wheel set you seem to always be better with a factory wheel as careful shopping will result in a good price on old stock.

It really is.
The UK rep for Parlee said that the SuperSix is the only production frame that's in the same league as a Parlee. Having said that, he used to work for Cannondale before jumping ship. I really, really enjoy the ride, but I'm not in a position to quantify just how good it is, or how it stacks up against other bikes.
Stem length doesn't bother me. 90mm means the bike fit, so I've got a 90mm stem. No problem.
Unfortunately, there are not many factory wheels which combine the factors I consider important at a price that I can afford, and most of them are too recent to be on sale or second hand that much.

My Roval's too, and Rs80 50mm's...
They are structural, i.e. the nipples attach to the carbon rim extension, not to the peripheral aluminium rim.

^^ I trust KCNC more than I trust Factory 5.
Also, pfffffft. If you're Tony Martin, then by all means get the SRAM TT chainring on there in case you're flexing them. I want the pretty ones.

I was just looking at the geo specs between the z5 and evo and its very similar so may be why it clicked. Id buy one...
deep / light / cheap is hard to achieve. Are you set on newtech aero shapes (wide / rounded)? Could bag some strong carbon clincher Vs easily. Paired with a predominantly round frame its aero enough!
It really is.

I guess if you're 60kg you're going to struggle to bend even chainrings made of wicker baskets..

That's sexist.

Absolutely. Just something to keep in the back of your mind should you need a frame replacement at some point.

^^ Not really, I've got nothing against women (some of my best friends.. blah blah), it's just that bike manufacturers tend save their ugliest framesets and paintjobs for them.

Well, for when you have an external headset and want matchy-matchy ano, I would say Chris Kings.
For tester approved, joytech/novatech...
Ftfy.
Also BHS have some pretty light and cheap hubs.

Definitely, it's a great find actually, so thanks very much! I've gone through so much hassle to get a frame that works that the idea of any more time spent faffing about fills me with dread.
Don't get me started on fucking cycling shoes.

Some of the women's Supersix paintjobs that I've seen today after Howard's recommendations are no worse than the mens. Having said that, that is admittedly against the trend.

Yeah, not great in practice, are they?

Where does one acquire Cannondale rings tho?

Would nerg for ignorance but on phone.

Chris king bearings and manufacturing > novatech without doubt.
Whether you would be better off with 10 pairs of novatech or one pair of ck, I can't say.
I've given up trying to make pretty bikes - they are almost always either a) shit to ride or b) uncomfortable AND shit to ride. All of mine are built for purpose now, and I'm much happier as a result.
