not sure if you would like the aesthetic but the parlee carbon one comes in the size you are looking for and spreads the clamping force over a wider area. A little blob of carbon assembly compound generates all the friction it needs to never move.

the last part of the Cielo puzzle was a braze-on adaptor. The Shimano band-on front mech is a 28.6-31.8 which unnerved me a bit so I went for an aftermarket adaptor at a true 28.6

Are you building with campag? Quite cheap to swap out the carbon for alloy Veloce brake blade and (acetone off the graphic) for a classic look.

Shimano. I'm happy with the small bit of crabon. I'm trying not to over-think it.

Ahha with spaceship cranks / shimano styling is gonna have a futuristic steel vibe about it...

I think the cranks are nice actually. The rear mech is the ugly bit of the groupset IMO.

I like them too... just steers it from a classic looking build... embrace the tech!
