  • Think it is 31.8 if I remember correctly
    Campag make a nice one

  • I just tried my 31.8 thomson seat clamp. It's too big.

  • my bad..it's a 34.9 stem... i'll try if I can borrow a 31.8 and try if it fits.

  • 31.8 on my c40

  • reunited with my master mtb, here with my pinarello maxim max or mtb

    m
    gilco n'max!

this is the super cx (was told a v d poel's, but have no provenance yet)

bb shell has no clover cut out

also, scored the c50 cx that was J Adams of Rabobank's team bike, og team spec bar wheels

  • What a lovely selection you have there. Some nice pieces with some historical interest and one I'm sure is full of sentiment. I think I remember you posting a while back voicing your regret for having let go the master in the first place.
Are you planning on keeping these?

  • if the right price comes along plans can be changed!

  • Back in Holland again Saarf?

  • for a little while

  • It should be from 1984 when Adri was riding for Kwantum Hallen Yoko than.

There's an Eddy Merckx CX frame (that used to be from Eric Vanderaerden in his Panasonic-Merckx period) for sale on Marktplaats.

  • You're on point with your MP game ;)

  • here's j adams in action

  • must say have enjoyed smashing about on the c50 cx , it will be my winter steed whilst here in the land of cheese, flatness and fine marijuana, may change the crank arms and shifters for ones in better condition, and i'd like to renovate the riders name, all thats left is the residue from the adhesive on the original letters, should be easy enough to get replacements in the same size and font
c50 is meant to be more akin to the extreme c i've also read, brakes need adjusting assails skittish in the wet as is

  • Buying a bike that's winter friendly sure makes the dark months more bearable but I guess you have one for every month of the year ??

  • I was fortunate enough to pick up a great donor bike last week who's price was considerably less than the sum of the parts. It gave me opportunity to swap out a few components on my 80's super and near complete a Super Record Groupset. @rive_gauche I eat my words, your observations/suggestions were spot on IMO. My good pal Jules who has I think the biggest collection in the world of Campag stuff (OK maybe an exaggeration) let go some NOS levers and some good SR pedals as well as giving me a nice OMAS BB to replace the too narrow 109mm Campag one that allowed the inner ring to foul on the stay. Decided to replace the 3TTT bars & stem with Cinelli ones at the same time as well as wrapping some cloth bar tape which was a bit harder to do than the usual cork stuff I'm used to as it has little to no stretch to stop creasing.
The bar tape looked far too 'bling' so I gave it a bit of an aged look with some shoe polish. I changed the brake outer cables to grey but didn't like it so much and so put the black back on.
I know I said I was happy with it as it was a few weeks back but now I think I'm one step further.
Maybe swap out the seatpost to a SR one in the future but not sure as it looks OKish and I think there was an overlap in the timeline with the fluted and aero posts, maybe someone knows for sure?

Yes there is indeed only 12 months but fortunately for you there's 52 weeks ;-)

  • don't have a molteni, was looking at one but was not succesful
pretty much reaching peak colnago status stable wise now, but I'm sure a few more will fit if bought well

  • Just picked up this mexico pista from the guys at FCI. Apparently it's from 1972. Thanks to @patriksz for the colnago hook up. Hoping to build this up for track. Campagnolo and 3ttt finishing kit.

  • it's 30.8, it's an odd size you have to get the Colnago one.

  • i got a replacement clamp from codagex, the benelux colnago distributor for under 30 euros i think

  • scored a set of shimano wh 9000 wheels with dugast 32's for the Adams bike, which funnily enough came of a rabo team giant bike,
and a set of da7800 hubs on black mavic cxp rims for town use on it
also got an nos carbon flite, same as on the c5o roadie, so i'll eventually go black saddle and bar tape for a brace of c50's
