He's always been a bit diesel-y. Don't really get why people are surprised that he can't make those short, sharp efforts.

Brailsford wanted all TUE to be public at the TDF last year when no-one on Sky had a TUE apparently so, well, you know, that's a thing.

Salbutamol is not prohibited up to a maximum of 1600 micrograms over 24 hours. This threshold is not valid in the presence of diuretics. If you are using a diuretic you must have a Therapeutic Use Exemption to use both the diuretic and salbutamol.

It's not like he's ever pushed the limits of what's allowed (well, crossed them) before. Some times he just wants a snack when he's not allowed one. Or needs a bit of a boost from a motorcycle when he's racing a bike. Fair enough.

What a climb. As much as I hate Froome he can fucking ride! I think Bertie was pretty cleaver there. Not giving much away, just a big fuck you on his wheel although he looked pretty spent at the top. Will be really interesting at the tour to see who had peaked too soon.

That was brilliant racing. Final few jousting against each other right to the finish. Shows why that kind of climb can be so much more exciting that the mental steeps - nothing too mad a gradiant, but long enough to do damage.

Porte's not looking like a brilliant plan B right now. Froomey might want to give Brad a call.
