  • Contador is a better bike handler than Froome - that short TT had a fair few switchbacks and was quite technical. The gaps will be larger in the longer TT.

Froome didn't appear to have any trouble with the descent. I thought he'd taken the wrong line on that oil slick but he made it through fine - probably already tested traction there I'd imagine.

  • started this. Ran out of time / got bored.

  • battle is about to commence. I'd like it if Reza could win the stage but I think the big guns will blast past before they're up two thirds of the climb

  • lots of looking at stem, must be a nervous tic

  • nah, it's the weight of expectation on his shoulders

  • bye Porte... not looking that good after all

  • Dan, need Brailsford, Greg Henderson and Alberto for the set I think.

  • Sky going a bit mental?

  • class act by Kelderman, seems to have recovered well from the Giro

  • Froome going a bit mental now!

  • go Wilco!!! :-)

  • Nibali pops

  • love this finale! who's going to do the decider? Froome I reckon

  • Contador

  • I hope not

  • Froome! That was epic racing

  • wow

  • Froome is the boss. Kelderman wins white jersey, very good

  • he chased down everything. I thought contador was going to come round him but he couldnt. Impressive

  • Froome took them on from the front though, three big attacks and then that last dig as berty tried to come round him with a 100 or so meters to go.
I might be growing to like him!

  • So, If Porte is out of form, could Froome Dog need Wiggo afterall?

  • fucking balls out stuff-Contador doesn't look like he's going to give him anything though, be interesting to see what he can pull out the bag to try and diffuse the creeping death. I really thought Froome had started to believe his own hype too much for a bit there...

His Nibs is looking well off the pace, but really nice to see Talkansky and Kelderman in the mix.

  • cycling news's forums crashed?

always enjoy reading the reaction (meltdown) to a Froome win.

Froome's got a bit of panache about him.

  • Adam Yates.

He's going to be soo good. Because he's a neo and is already so good.

  • Dan, need Brailsford, Greg Henderson and Alberto for the set I think.

On my list. Will have a stab later
