I'm stumped. Every seatpost I have is 27.2 and they all fit perfectly in every bike except the Ti post in the Somec.

Buy the Ti post used? Maybe the previous owner over tightened it and warped it?

then how does it slip right into the Dodici, the Plum, the Kona?

And likewise, the seatposts from those bikes into the Somec?

Also, I doubt that's the case - it was barely used - literally not a mark on it.

Is that around the bottom of the top tube? May be a little lip, and if the bottom of the ti post is cut of clean, rather than finished around the edge, it may be catching on a small lip, whereas the alu posts you have have a bevelled edge which lifts them over the slight imperfection rather than catches on it?
