I've finally started using TR, I am in the middle of a period of pronounced laziness though and my FTP is woeful.
However, that is not why I am posting - who else has a CycleOps Fluid2 and uses the skewer it came with?
Does it make a cracking noise very similar too a bottom bracket going out?

@Smallfurry uses a CycleOps trainer

Trainerroad looks like too much fun, I'm missing out.
-

looks fine.
I got this Suunto Mini, but the Garmin one was more expensive at the time.

Mines fine. I had some nioses from the trainer itself. But that went away. Probably through accidental oiling from Chain spray.
My fixed gear - turbo set-up is shite.
Rear Wheel slips, cleats are in all wrong, saddle too far back, bars too slippy. I should admit that I wont be riding outside on it for a while and adjust everything. I can hold my FTP for a few minutes then my body starts hating on me.

I'll join this. But be kind. I have no free time at the moment.
....more excuses to folow.

I joined it and then stopped using the turbo :-/

Joined the group and tried to do the Sufferfest Hunted tonight - think I overdid the commute home beforehand as I really struggled...

Mine doesn't.

I've just finished another session this evening and the legs are feeling better and better. I've started upping the intensity recently and a weigh in today revealed I've dropped 3 kilos over that last six weeks, so I'm now under 70 for the first time in years. I'm also holding power around FTP without too much difficulty, so the drop in weight hasn't had a detrimental effect there which is a relief. Feeling rather pleased actually.
Time to re test I think.

I'm a massive, wobbling bag of fat with the power of a new born rabbit.
Must re-find my mojo.

I haven't used my turbo since the last time I posted on this thread. Probably best to quit while I'm ahead, anyway.

Just joined trainer road, after a long time just using RPE with Sufferfest it should prove an extra kick of motivation to hit the right numbers! FTP test to be carried out as soon as my ANT+ dongle arrives...shudder...

The first sufferfest vid I did on trainerroad was brutal. I realised the mind games I'd been playing on myself with RPE, but actually having to hit the numbers is brutal.
Have fun ;-)

I have asked for sufferfest vouchers for Xmas. As I am missing some of the newer vids.
GIVE ME SUFFERING.

Might even try the bike/run one.

FTP test done...263W...and a quick glance at the numbers for my favourite workout, Downward Spiral, shows me that yes, it will be brutal. Don't know whether to start with one of the base plans first, or just pick and choose. I don't have any particular goals at the moment except fun, pain, and increased fitness, although long term I will be aiming for track league next winter (too busy with family stuff this winter!).

Did a workout yesterday that I've not attempted before, called Gilbert... 4 x 10 minute intervals, each starts just below FTP and slowly ramps in the second half to 115% FTP. Nasty. Very nasty. Supposed to be good for muscular endurance.http://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/1359121-Gilbert-
The first 5 mins of each interval before the ramp starts inspires that 'oh shit there's a really steep hill approaching' feel that you get when outdoors.

All the Xmas prep stress has killed my mojo. I'm currently just downloading cool TdF stages and watching them while spinning 200w. If I had time to do it for a long time. I'd Call it base miles. But I dont. So its just lazy.

Anyone going to attempt the Tour of Sufferlandria this year?
