Well that's what I'm trying to work out. The current stuff in bags and pockets is looking like this.
Pump + Tubes + multitool + spanner
Mini D Lock
Phone + Keys + Wallet
Chorizo
Bagel full of whatever I feel like when getting it maybe 2
Bag of Crisps
Random stuff in supermarket sausage rolls?
Flapjacks
Drink tablet things to add to water bottles
10ish assorted cereal bars(I posted them above)
A powerbar or two
Kendal mint cake
Gel if one tastes okLights?
I dont intend to let bike out of site to lock is not needed,
Saddle bag = puncture recovery shizz
pockets = phone & battery pack,
home made oat biscuits& trail mix
waterproof,
I have a long sleeve base layer ill tie around waste until midnight / water stop (2 bottles so one water stop is plenty).
and lights & pump on bikethat is it.
you will want to avoid wearing even a comfy big over 100 miles.

<30% VO2 (which is crawling) the body is primarily using fat as fuel but it is still using 25% CHO. Increasing the intensity to 50% VO2max and you're looking at 60% fuel from CHO. So even at a snails pace, eventually you will run out of CHO and then your ability to use fat will also reduce (see Krebs cycle).

Sugar yes, but refined sugar only? What and how did you eat?
I have, over recent months, been attempting an unintentional "can I survive only on refined sugar?" experiment. Would not recommend.

Have you considered writing a diet book and dying (prematurely) a millionaire?

Why: cause it gives energy -

tuppwerware is a very good idea. interesting fact about them, their seals actually expel air keeping foods fresh for longer. but some people, few of my friends, dislike keeping food in plastic containers cause they think somehow food takes on the taste of plastic.

BS - I've never seen one with a pump.
I wouldn't put anything wet/oily in them for any length of time.
Fair enough. I've settled on sugar, honey, salt and lemonjuice in my bottles (pseudo-sciencefood). And not really tried more than 3hrs/60miles on just this.
I'd guess you'd get through many bottles of this on an overnight ride.
