Not really after a group.
So there's a good chance if you run off alone you'll spend segments alone, so will need to know where you're going...You'll have a cue sheet though and it's quite easy to follow.
There are a lot of people riding it, I don't reckon you'll be on your own that much.

My speed last year involved stopping every couple of miles to wait, so doesn't really count. I'd like to do it fast this year but as it's my last weekend in London before I move North I'd also like to, ya know, have a chat and that.
As long as I don't bump into a parent of a pupil at my school again like last year (after he snapped the chain on his Ti, Rohloffed tourer) all will be well.

I'm not one to talk, as I've done it fast on more than one occasion, but everybody should do the Dynamo slowly. Enjoy it and savour it. If you ride it like a sportive, it won't be the Dunwich Dynamo. :)

I'm not usually friendly on a bike. I love my techno, so cycling + dark + techno will equal a spiritual experience... I hope.

Wise words from you Oliver...... when I am plodding along through the lanes and people come bombing past me yelling about whether their ride times are going better this year and which sportives they have signed up to. I always say ' slow down, you won't win anyway, just enjoy it'.
It is such a magical ride. Take it easy and enjoy the ride.P.S. BIG respects to you and Skully for helping out at the feed station. It is your help that means punters like myself get to the coast - give thanks....

Hurrah! Glad it got there so fast. How's the fit?
Yeah, snug.
I'm a tall skinny one so I got a medium and it's just about right.
Way more fluoro in real life than it looked online as well. Lovely stuff.

Excuse my drunken sarcasm up there^. Those who've encouraged a gentle ride said it a lot better than me.

Two things: coach tickets and feeder rides...
(1) Coach tickets
Last year we brought over 800 back from Dunwich on coaches. When I say "we", that's Bermondsey Bill in charge of logistics, and a number of Southwark Cyclists people issuing tickets in London Fields, and Dog & Bell Crew, myself included, counting heads and bikes on the day. This year we've upped the number to 1,000, and have a stash of tickets as a contingency. Ticket sales via the website have now closed, but there is a waiting list for the contingency reserve, so you might want to register an interest...
I'm afraid that I cannot answer specific questions about ticket sales, as I'm blissfully ignorant about that (and much else besides).
(2) Feeder rides
A number of borough cycling groups and others are organising feeder rides to London FIelds. I'm leading a ride from Cutty Sark Gardens in Greenwich, up along the Regent's Canal. Last year I went via Southwark Needle, and there collected the Southwark crowd. This year I want to avoid the nastiness of rush-hour central London, hence the canal-side pootle. I recommend that southeast London riders coming from points west of Greenwich make their way along the Thames Path (NCR4) to Cutty Sark Gardens. We may yet see an organised sub-feeder from Southwark Needle to Greenwich.
See here for details of the Greenwich Feeder...
http://www.lfgss.com/thread109918.html
I see that fellow Dog & Bell Crew member saoirse is organising a feeder from Lewisham, but I don't have a web link for this. All I know is that Jane's ride starts at Ladywell Fields, and crosses Tower Bridge.

Greetings Skully,
For those that want sizing advice, I am 5 ft 9.5, and at my age a bit more built than I would wish for.
I went for large and it fits just as I would like it to.
These guys are the same crew who did the LFGSS jerseys so if you have one of those.... I think I will settle on 'normalish'.
Link for those who still want one

I'll be heading back to Norwich after the beach. Anyone's free to join me. This is the route I'll be taking, it finishes at my partner's flat, but it's about 1km from the train station.
Pretty sure we'll be joining you.

I'll basically see how I feel on the day I guess.
Gonna try and get Nurseholliday out if I do go
