I'm visiting from California for a month and this looks like a good way to get out of the city. I hope to be there.

Well my "Going on LFGSS ride = getting in trouble with the other half" success rate is almost 100%. I usually return drunk/late/not at all so I think I'd better score some points by attending this meeting with the wedding caterers.

Understandably so... Was merely implying that wedding planning may lead to a wedding, which incidentally may lead to trouble. Best of luck though ;)

I am going to try make it to Bar Italia Soho for 08:00.
Then at Hammersmith for 09:00.

Going to head to Bar Italia and use the ride to Hammersmith to decide whether my bike and my body can make it - I just put the bike together now and I've been really jetlagged for the last couple of days.

Leaving the house now, more than an hour late. Going to try to catch you lot.

We are on top of the South Downs enjoying the view.

Couldn't be arsed to change to Marathon pluses the night before, then a nail in the rear and bailed near Kingston. 4 more flats this afternoon thanks to Lifeline (Wiggle) glue-free patches.

cheers for leading it out sir, gutted I bailed at guildford but it was the right decision, I bonked hard on the ride back from clapham to mine. another 50 odd miles was not a good idea.

note to self: eat and drink more when it's hotter than the sun outside.

^^^it should be pointed out that dimi3 left home late with the plan to catch up, then missed us somewhere (presumably when we deviated from the route as planned) and got to the beach ahead of everyone else...

Definitely a great ride, glad I decided to roll out of bed early and come along. I did a lot of 'gramming (more on my instagram):

Only place it could have been is when we hiked up the South Downs and took that 'longcut' around Shoreham.
