  • Sorry to barge in like this but wanted to let all TNRC's past and present know that I am selling off a few bits that may interest some of you and wanted to let you guys know first along with a 17.5% TNRC loyalty discount.

    PM if you are interested,.
    Pics are here http://s951.photobucket.com/user/purple_mj/library/Ebay.
Will go on classifieds tomorrow then to the bay if no interest.

    Brooks Ti Swallow Black
Used for 8 months, has just been recovered by Brooks.
New top has never been ridden comes with the adjusting spanner.
    £160

SOLD Pair of Phil wood large flange slotted hubs 32h on DT Swiss R1.2's & DT Swiss spokes built for me the original owner by Condor.
Rear wheel has not seen a brake, front wheel has seen a brake but plenty of life left in the rim, hub is still silky smooth.
Slight scratches to front hub on flange.
Rear hub is fixed/fixed and comes with Phil wood 15&18t sprockets and 2 phil wood lockrings.
I will throw in the 2 x Conti GP400s tyres that also have a lot of life left in them if you dont do that skiddy thing on them...
    £200 SOLD

SOLD Paul cross top lever Right hand side 31.8 clamp, used but not abused.
    £20 SOLD

SOLD Dura ace 7800 front brake including swiss stop green pads with lots of life left in them,
One issue in this is that I have just noticed the quick release lever seems to be seized, didn't have time to sort it hence the lower than low price, otherwise a perfect match for the Paul Cross top lever, perfect for any night jaunt around the 5 hills :-)
    £15 SOLD

  • @Martin - are you sure the QR's seized? Sometimes it seems that way, but once you squeeze the calipers together and retry you realize it wasn't. QRs can get 'locked' when the arms are wide open. Sorry if stating the obvious.

  • Very welcome - hope to see you on the list.

I enjoyed it last time. Am I welcome a second time or have you all learned your lesson?

  • Just checking in after no Internet connection for the last 2 weeks (thanks virgin)- looks like decent weather and just the 19:11 train needed. Will check in again tomorrow to see if we are still on track. Anyone who wants to tidy up the list etc feel free.

    Lusting after pmj's wheel set....

  • I was thinking how out of place it would look on the paddywagon. Might be tempted if he could rat them up a bit first. Maybe take them on a ride through a swamp then over an old slag heap before leaving them out to weather on a welsh hillside for a few months.

  • Not that I'm objecting, but didn't we do Roydon quite recently?

You're right... I was going to do a Surrey hills one along the lines of the Box Hill one from last year, but no broadband and couldn't get a route mapped out so next time... Roydon seemed like a good idea for the extra daylight.

Thanks for the tip Scarlett, at my age even if it was obvious I need reminding....

  • Official list-add. My actual attendance will depend on being able to find my way to the station, having got lost in my own workplace this morning. Doesn't bode well.

  • 19:11 train then from Liv. St. Gets in at 19:44, so if you are riding out aim to meet that. My number is 07939 520953 if anyone is running late, collecting late supplies, dealing with virgin media etc....

  • planning to leave Oxford Circus at 5 and swing by Enfield on the way. Given how lost I got getting to Welwyn, peeps are welcome to tag along but it's probably not advised...

  • If I get home from work on time and my legs feel ok, I'd like to make this my first TNRC!

Where/what time do people meet at the station?

  • About 15mins before the train should do it.

  • Unless you're buying the groupsave, in which case I'd allow closer to half an hour to be on the safe side.

  • Cheers, that should be just about ok.
