  • I will when I've got the new headset installed, got to borrow a few tools tomorrow night

  • I have tentivly put the stainless mudguards on to the frame, I think think might be staying...

If you know the RAL of the frame, get the mudguard matched!

  • But SS will go with all the other shiny shiny no? Or thinking too much?

  • I'm going to keep the silver for the moment I think. Sorry for this appalling photo, i'm knackered and I can't be bothered to move the stand to a less distracting background.

Oh I also just bought a silver master piece seatpost....

  • ottcc

  • i'd like to see the stem you'd need if it was slammed

  • can someone tell me what diameter band on front mech the Croix de Fer takes?

  • I believe it's 28.6. I bought the following for mine, and can't remember if I used the shim, but I think I did...

    Shimano 105 5603 Triple 10sp Front Mech - 28.6/31.8mm - Band On - Black

  • Cheers,

  • I got the bars and Garmin mount today, both looks good. Photos soon

  • Hubs, and seatpost have come now. Does anyone know what disc brake mounts I'll need to order?

  • what hubs and bruv? If all hope (v twin + hope hubs) for 140mm rear 160mm front rotor Type A step-up; http://www.wiggle.co.uk/hope-step-up-black-mounts/

  • I ordered two 160mm, which is out of bloody stock and they're almost £25 on crc individually. I also found someone on ebay selling alligator i-link outter in 30cm lengths so I may well buy that for the brake to hydraulic junction box routing as dj said it works better than noodles

  • why so many gears?

In that case you'd need type A and type F; Since Hope was out of stock I bought Ashima (which I am also running on rat bike) they are awesome, light and good looking too.

If the alligator i-link are more than what you need then I'd be happy to take for the exact same purpose cable to hydraulic for V twin (or we can buy new and split costs).

    To allow for heavy stuff

I'm not sure how much I need, I'll have to ask dj how he did his ie just a short section from where the bar tape ends to the box which is butted up against normal outter or if it was i-link from lever to box.

I'll happily give you any spare though

  • Things have slowed down for a bit but here is some inspiration.

  • needs mudguards?

  • You gonna put lugs on it?

  • bumping for interest...

...also in the market for a tourer of some sort. Have between £500 and £800 cash money to spend.

  • Well you're not having this one. I just got the money together for the wheels. Make a wanted thread.

  • Grim, perhaps posting in the touring equipment topic would be a better idea?

And have that damn bike been finished spotty?

  • Someone tell what length spokes to buy please.
    Front hub: DO41SB
    Rear hub: DO42SB
    Rims: Mavic A319

Both hubs are 32 hole and i'd like 3 cross.
