Frame paid for and pedals and shoes have arrived, now I just need a chain and a wheelset!

As for wheel, either get those rear Halo (£90) and front Shimano R500 (£60) to run for now, or save up for a decent wheelbuild.

I will be getting the halos/shimano combo for now, not decided on a chain yet.

You can either spend silly money on expensive track chains, or get a cheap Wipperman that work just as well and doesn't hurt the bank when it time to replaced it every 3-4 months.

Izumi super toughness, save around 90 grams over the wipperman too but either that or a KMC with suffice for now and I'll get something better when that's worn.

And the Izumi wear out just as much as a Wipperman, can you really feel the difference between those two chain?

£60 buy you 6 decent chains.
