Just trundled out to the O2 to get the blood flowing through my legs ahead of tomorrow, I'm assuming that we go down alongside the dual carriageway that enters the North bound tunnel, loop around/over via Ordinance way, then into the South bound tunnel entrance via the (currently barrier'd) entrance?
Should take me ~20 minutes to get there from my house tomorrow morning, then a ten minute run up to the stadium?

does the frame sticker go on top tube? I thought I read something about it being visible from the right hand side, but I can't find it now.

My journey tomorrow morning:
Win.
So it's possible to get over there without using the horrible Bow flyover?
Win.

Hmm, it occurs to me that the route I am planning on using from the Blackwall tunnel to the Olympic park is the A12. I might need to rethink that.
Route recommendations anyone?

london bridge > aldgate > bow rd, first left past the greenway.
sticker halp plz?

Dunno about the sticker. Only thing I could read was "clearly visible" so bunged it on the downtube, left hand side. If it's on the wrong side I'll just claim I don't know my left from right. I actually do, tho sometimes it takes me 2 goes to get it right.

I just stuck mine on the top tube, facing upward, just in front of the seat tube.

I got an e-mail a couple of days ago saying that the Temple Mills Lane entrance was closed to RideLondon participants, and that we could only get there via Pennybrook Street and Warton Road.

fook. the third hill (bottom of pdf) looks a pain.
big call. gear down and feel slightly ashamed for doing so OR risk dismount and deal with men thrice my weight and age smiling smugly as they roll by... -

If you're talking about Box Hill at about mile 70, it's no big deal. Smooth tarmac and steady gradient.

No way to avoid the flyover? Bah.

• #398
It'll be fine.
at that time of the morning, would DC not be better off just taking the main roads from west london? eg. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2990404

Anyone else taking a bag?
what you thinking of putting in it?
only reason I would is to bring shoes. everything else to go in the kit bag (lights, leggings) I'll be wearing on the way there anyway. maybe some extra food for the end. actually, that's a yes, but only a musette sized one. shoes, food and the daft kit bag. -

Taking my camelbak, I think unless anyone thinks this'll be a bad idea?
45 miles of flat. 3 lumps. Flat run home.
