The Cat Thread

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Patch has been racing to my bed when I wake up to sit on my lap, she walks on, walks off, walks on, walks off... this includes when I need to pop to the bathroom in the middle of the night? It's not the cold weather, I have set the timer for the heating to be on regularly throughout the night for her...

On days when I manage to run off, only to return to my bedroom moments later to find an annoyed cat, "You bitch, I waited 6 hours to sit on your lap!!!"

Balls, had to cancel Opie's vet appointment this morning. Girlfriend was supposed to be taking him before she went to work but she waited 40 minutes for a taxi (that was constantly "10 minutes away") and now she wont make it there in time.

Fucking taxi's man.

Probably should have been in the rant thread.

Probably should have used a bike.

Hah maybe, but where I live looks like this.

Poor Bart!!! I don't think I'd return to the person who buried me alive!

Yeah, that story creeps me the hell out. Just the idea of what it must be like to get hit by a car and then buried alive means I can't even read it, the headline is enough. Nightmarish. At least the fact that he's a cat means he probably won't dwell on his experience :/

Couple of weeks back I made a shelter for a skinny scarred stray who has long loitered at my workplace. Boss has been feeding wet catfood, pork mince, and dog food; and cat is looking a lot better!

He used the shelter first night I made it, still hisses at me but will headbutt for strokes and is a sweet cat really... we have named him Wild-One / Wiley.

If anyone has cheap/free dry cat food I would love to help feed this guy properly.

That cat doesn't look like it's starving

It has been fed by my boss since xmas, but was still very skinny when I first saw it in jan. The scar on its face is healed well and it now no longer hobbles around.

My boss is not buying good food for it or able to regulate portions, I am trying to improve things.
He has fed this same cat a few years ago too, and back then he confirmed it had been neutered / shot and was probably once a pet

Those ears are crazy. Wiley doesn't look like he needs anyones help. The look on that face is one of 'I'm gonna rinse these soft cunts for all I can' (all stray cats are Bricktop-esque cockney villains in my mind)
Fair play for making a wee shelter though.

The scar on his face was probably makeup, this cat looks like a professional con artist. I bet he has a hundred homes and he gets fed and patted at all of them. Little tart.

good work. He looks like a tough ol' dude. If you contact the national cat centre they can take him and try to rehome him.
