My Dad was an animal feed nutritionist (he made pigfood). One of the ways he showed farmers how good their pig pellets were was to eat them himself. I distinctly recall having a bowl of Pig Nuts with milk once.

So what's in a good pig pellet? Is it vegan?

Nope. Back in the day they were full of 'meat and bone meal' which was sited as the source of the CJD scare... Which might explain a lot about me now I come to think about it.

Nowadays its grains and molasses with high tec proteins and whey powders, vitamin supplements etc. The factory always smelled kinda nice. Like an industrial bakery.

Think there might still be fish meal in there too. It's all basically the same as dry cat food give or take some meaty bits for our carnivorous feline chums.

Must be half term . Cos we are on holiday and therefore they have an audience during the day , today we have had .....3 dead mice one bigger rodent and a pigeon . And one startled squirrel . Waiting for a pony or small child to be dragged thru the small dog flap we have .

Does your cat have a bell? Mine has either never caught anything, or doesn't love me enough to bring it home to share with me.

I would rather my cat doesn't love me enough to bring me any present... there was this BBC programme, can't remember what it was called about what cats do all day long or something, and I think it said only about 25% of cats bring thier people presents...

I love that your cats think that Waitrose is slumming it. Not that long ago they were in a rescue shelter, and now look at their airs and graces!
